We ate here twice on our recent vacation. The food is good for the price. Sadly we went very late and they were running low on options. THe second time around we went early and they had mostly everything we ordered.

Once again, Chocolate Clams at Beto's. Followed by lobster. Cold beer, good service, beach view and ocean breeze. I need to go there again and again.

This place has been an Acapulco favorite for years.

The seadood is as fresh as you can get. Sea snail is incredibly good and reasonably priced. Giant clams are a special.

My recommendation are the grilled shrimp but with their house tortillas that are as thick as a US pancake. They are made of Guerrero's white corn and simply amazing.

I visited for dinner and order shrimps, which were supposedly a strong but they were actually disappointing, small and not very tasty. also ordered seafood soup and that was a little better but very greasy. It was recommended to us by a taxi driver, but he and other locals keep recommending more because it has been there for decades rather than how the food is served today. i would recommend they improve the installations and their menu.

Service and seafood were very good - the whole red snapper (huachinango) simply grilled with some garlic was delicious - cooked perfectly. The jumbo shrimp tasted fresh and were enjoyed by all. The beer was cool but not cold. The 30 year old bathrooms with plumbing problems look absolutely neglected. The rickety, unsafe, and unlighted stairs to get to them are inviting an accident. The general physical neglect of the place makes one wonder about the hygiene in the kitchen. This could be a very nice place with beautiful oceanside seating if some money was put into its upkeep.
