Just returned from week stay at Garza Blanca. Can't say enough good things about the property. Beautiful resort with everything you could want. The developers have spared no expense while building this resort. One of the most beautiful pools we have ever seen. The staff went out of their way to provide exceptional service. At times it was a bit slow, but no more than anywhere else when things get busy. Overall, we were very pleased with the service. The quality of the food was excellent and we ate most of our meals at the resort.

Room Tip: One bedroom suite was wonderful.

This was our first trip to Garza Blanca and will not be our last. My husband, my two kids and myself spent five days at this beautiful hotel and loved every second of it! We did the all-inclusive package which was perfect for the kids (8 and 11) who ordered these delicious strawberry and chocolate smoothies all day long, while playing in the ocean or swimming in the the amazing pool! The service was impeccable, from EVERY single employee we met. Just an example.... we checked out and went to spend another two days in the marina at the Marriott(which was nice but WAY crowded because of spring break) to check out another part of the city. We left our dvd of our zip-lining tour in the dvd player, and after a phone call to see if they found it, Erik from the front desk said he would be more then happy to drop it off at our hotel on his way home from work. Above and beyond is what they all do! Best hotel I've ever been to by far, and the food was also great at all three restaurants, there was something for everyone. Between paddle boarding, kayaking, boogie boarding, swimming in the pool, or just reading my book watching my family enjoying themselves, this was the perfect place to relax and have fun! My daughter even said "Mom, one day I'm coming back here to get married!" :>

Room Tip: Every room has an ocean view!

We've been to Puerto Vallarta 4 times now & decided to try a new hotel so we stayed at the Garza Blanca. While the cab ride is a bit long (like others have mentioned, about 30-35 minutes), the resort itself is very nice, not too big or crowded. It is a gated hotel so anytime we were coming back from a cab ride at night, the attendant at the security booth would ask for our name & write down the cab number before the gate opened.

There are 2 pools--both great. One has a shallow end with fountains that are always on but vary in height all throughout the day. It can be a little noisy. The few amount of children that were at the hotel were playing at this end, a little ways down was the "quiet end" with small waterfalls. The infinity pool is just a quick jump in from that pool & the resort also has 2 hot tubs. There was always a lot of free reading materials at the pool but the pool service (again like some have mentioned) could be improved. There is no swim up bar at this resort so they just need to be more attentive. Beers were $3, a glass of wine about $8, mixed drinks anywhere from $5-$8 and a bottle of water was $2. We thought the variety & quality of the food was just fine. The music was relaxing most of the time but after awhile, it gets a bit repetitive. We started to joke about how much Bob Marley they were playing.

Rooms were very well kept & beautifully designed. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite but would probably have preferred to stay in the Junior Suite that we had originally reserved since that had a hot tub on the balcony. The one bedroom was big with a full kitchen, washer and dryer & a large jacuzzi in the bathroom. We didn't really need that much space but it was good to experience it just the same. The room safe is not as big as some other resorts that we've stayed in so travel light on your valuables. We had some troubles getting it to lock & open on some days.

We went off-site most of the time for dinners but did have drinks at the Garza Blanca. It's a large restaurant with a beautiful setting right on the beach. We also tried out their restaurant Boca Dos STK at the top of the hill (where they are expanding & putting their time shares). They gave us a ride by golf cart to get to it. The views are very nice but the food could use some improvement. It is a tapas type restaurant--some items were delicious, other items were pretty bland so it's hit & miss. We would probably pass on the desserts next time as some of items on the sampler plate didn't taste fresh.

There is not a gift shop on-site at the moment. Looks like they are still working on getting that in place so if you've forgotten something or were looking to get souvenirs, you'll have to go elsewhere. There seemed to be more bugs in this area but we never got bitten by any, just noticed it because we saw some dead bugs in the hallways here & there so they must spray often. It's a tropical setting with lots of greenery. The Vista Grill which is about 15 minutes away had swarms of bugs come in one night at dinner time for about a 1/2 hour, then they disappeared. So again, I think it's just the location. The Garza Blanca could just do a little better in keeping the hallways clean.

There is construction on the main road to the hotel so only one lane of traffic in one direction is allowed at a time. It's a bit of a hassle & obviously, adds to your travel time if you wanted to get off the resort & into town. Hopefully, that will be completed soon.

Overall, this is a hotel meant for relaxation. No big events going on, no party atmosphere, a pretty & secluded location but with restaurants just a 15 -20 minute ride away...... just a nice place to wind down.

Best vacation my wife and I have ever had. This place is terrific and still adding on. They had almost everything you could ask for and building everything else. Once this place is finished, it will be a small international village. I could never say enough to describe how wonderful this place is. Lastly, the staff was incredible!

This was our second trip to Garza Blanca, and it won't be our last. The complex has all the amenities of the mega resorts north of town without the crowds and noise. The architecture of the entire resort is brilliant -- focused around the nearby Los Arcos Rocks, and each room has an oceanfront patio. It's cheap and easy to get into town via a 10-min cab ride ($8), or with their new complimentary shuttle, which runs 4 times daily.

The staff is so committed to making your stay perfect, they even have a pre-concierge service, so that your room can be prepared to your liking. Don't hesitate to tell them if something could be better as they're eager to accomodate. We especially love the complimentary turndown service. Virtually all of the staff speak English - but be a good tourist and at least learn to say please and thank you in Spanish! =)

The. pool. is. INCREDIBLE! I could write an entire review on just how wonderful the infinity pool is, overlooking their unique white sand beach as hidden speakers play relaxing music. If you're there on a weekday, Garza Blanca has a great activity schedule, including kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling, or just check out any of these items from the pool concierge (who also has reading materials, board games and sunscreen-all free). You might even get some surprise treats by the pool!

Of all the wonderful resorts and hotels we've enjoyed, Garza Blanca is our favorite and we can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: The Junior Suites are by far the best - corner rooms with an enormous wraparound balcony, including...
