Malecon Boardwalk was nice, but due to the pandemic a lot of sections were closed. It was nice feeling the breeze and listening to the ocean as we walked down the boardwalk.

You can't go to Puerto Vallarta and not walk the Malecon. The statues are incredible! It's pedestrian friendly. Lined with shops and restaurants. Extremely clean. And you'll see some of the most incredible sunsets here. Every time we come to PV, we plan out an entire day to spend in this area. It never gets old.

My wife and I have been visiting Puerto Vallarta since 2004. We always enjoyed walking the Malecon in the past. The entertainment is always top notch. The new renovations have made the walk even more enjoyable. The Malecon is not only the centerpiece of PV, it is the showcase as well. Great job by those responsible for the renovations.

Not bad...not great...but worth a few walks
Geared towards all types...but mostly those who want to drink a lot in a busy pedestrian thoroughfare

Very safe and clean place to shop - you can barter in some shops and not others. Do expect to wear your mask and do expect to get your temp checked at certain shops. You can shop for all types of things from nic-nacs to high end jewelry and art. You can just walk if you want - and if you go farther you get to great restaurants on the beach like La Palapa and El Dorado. Go have fun on the Malecon.
