I have reviewed this, out of the restaurant , many times over the years . Happy to report it is still my favorite. It is not a typical nachos, tacos, chips place to go. However, I would not miss it for the world. It’s nice that some things never change. The quality, friendliness, hospitality, and especially the young boy who sits directly outside to open the door for you....makes you feel warm and appreciated as a patron.....

We have been coming to PV for 6 years and never heard of this wonderful hidden spot. What can I say but everything our party of 8 had was fabulous. It was so good that we came back a second time a couple of weeks later. Again, this time there were only 4 of us and we again each picked something we had not had before. Everything was every bit as wonderful as the first time. The owner came around to all the tables and was so very gracious. What else can we say but you have to try it.

A very interesting artistic decor that adds to the experience . Take your time read the menu and jump right in as there will be stuff you probably not seen before . The spinach salad was incredibly tasty with a most unusual presentation , the black bean soup was simple and tasty . We ate two separate main courses one was a shreded Pork Myan recipe with hot peppers on the side that might make you cry the other called Chiles De Picadillo which for my wife was her best course in our 7 week stay in PV .
Great service slightly out of the main area but worth the minor effort to get there .

This is on of our favorite places to have a really nice dinner. Coco and his team really have a quaint place, SUPERIOR food and service to match!

Out favorite menu items are the guacamole, peanut soup, black bean soup and the Chili’s en godada. This is a poblano pepper stuffed with meat and it has this wonderful creamy walnut sauce that envelopes the peppers. The dish is served cold and is so decadent, savory and down right hands down delicious! It’s not spicy at all (at least I don’t think that it is). The guacamole is some of the best that we’ve had in pvr too. The peanut soup and black bean soup are both so yummy! Super margaritas too!
The service is impeccable!
It’s a nice walk from Insurgentes street. Only about 15 mins tops. It’s safe and a nice walk!
You really should include the red cabbage as one of your dinner plans one evening. You will not be disappointed!
Much gracias Coco and team!

We had read about this restaurant before heading to PV and then after arriving happened to have two different parties telling us we needed to check this one out. It's always fun when you've had a good recommendation from someone else and so the next day when we were in town we asked around how to get there and had an interesting walk into an area we likely wouldn't have travelled otherwise. We were not disappointed. Our waiter, I feel bad that I've forgotten his name, even challenged us in our Spanish helping us to learn and properly say new words which was fun and did help!! The restaurant itself is across the road from the river and there is a big gate at the door which is kept shut (well the bottom half is always kept shut) unless of course someone is going in or out. It is very colorful inside with all sorts of different art on the walls and each table seems to have a different collage under a glass top. Fun to look around and read about as you wait for your food. For an appetizer, we enjoyed peanut soup and spinach salad which is made using cooked spinach, which sounds odd and even looks a little odd, but is delicious! Our mains were the cold stuffed peppers with the pomegranate sauce on top which had a blend of flavours that was just incredible and also a hot stuffed pepper (not hot as in spicy but warm rather than cold) We both totally enjoyed our dishes and even needed to take some back to the room with us as we were full! We totally enjoyed the evening and look forward to coming here again next time we visit PV!!
