I'm not sure why people rave about Prego. I've been here twice now, most recently this past week, and been disappointed with the food both times (although the service is excellent, warm and welcoming). Perhaps if I try it again I'll order from the chef's menu instead of the regular menu and see if that makes a difference. I ordered the ravioli with truffle butter; they came literally swimming in a sauce that didn't really taste like either. There has to be a better Italian restaurant in Polanco, but I have yet to find it. When I can do better in my own kitchen as an amateur cook (although granted, I'm Italian) something isn't right.

Yes, this is a very good Italian restaurant in Mexico City. It has all the features you expect: a slightly cramped, trattoria feel, a good wine list, tasty pastas with great marinara and alfredo sauces, and waiters who don't bother you if you take a leisurely 2 hour lunch. Unlike most restaurants in Polanco, it's completely indoors, so it was warmer than the cold January breeze outside when we were there. It's probably cooler in the summer too. Some waiters speak a little English. We saw mostly locals here, not tourists, which is always a good sign. Go a little early, because it gets crowded by 3:00 or so, and indulge in a multi-course lunch with a good bootle of wine. Relax and take your time. Except for the language, you may feel as though you're in Roma. Or just pop in for a pizza if you're short on time. It's a nice break from Mexican food every day.

The best past I have ever eaten. For those who love truffles, order this pasta. The restaurant is located in Polanco a walking distance to the main international hotels. The price is fair given the quality of the service and the food and the environment of the restaurant. I strong recommend this restaurant for those who likes Italian food.

Last minute visit on a late evening in Aug 2017. Very good Italian, with the usual options. Great selection of wine as well. Quite surprised for the middle of Mexico City! Perfect restaurant close to the Intercontinental where we were staying.

This restaurant is within easy walking distance of the hotel precinct in Polanco. Excellent service, seafood pasta was very good and the wine by the glass also very good. They even made me a simple green salad which is quite difficult to get in Mexico.
I sat outside under the umbrellas which was pleasant and quiet.
