The central location is hard to beat, with a sweet little bodega half a block away on the corner where you can pick up a bottle of wine, water, toothpaste, or whatever. This is a fairly quiet street just a block or two from the main attractions and many restaurants. You are guests of the owners in their family home repurposed as a B&B, so you can expect a family experience. You get the keys to the front door to let yourself into the secure interior, and you're otherwise on your own. The rooms are fine, each a little different. Ours was on the second floor facing the courtyard, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small with a rain-type shower head whose volume was thin but adequate reflecting the age of this authentic home. Everything worked fine. I loved the breakfast, each morning a different main dish, from a killer squash blossom fritatta to grease-less chicken flauta, accompanied by fresh squeezed OJ and a generous plate of breads and sweet rolls, served family style. A warm, hospitable, and authentic experience. English is not spoken here, but you can manage.
