“HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION”
Reviewed 9 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

If you are looking for a spacious, well appointed, artistically designed, well equipped, and soulful house in a Oaxaca neighborhood, a ten minute walk from the city center, close enough for convenience, but away from the hectic scene, this is the place for you. Everything you need for everyday living, plus a housekeeper nearby to deal with any problems. A lovely neighborhood, with interesting cafes and small stores.

“Perfect location. Charming, comfortable house with all conveniences.”
Reviewed 23 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

The house was perfect for two couples. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. Located on a very quiet street, yet easy walk to the zocolo, restaurants and the main market. We also liked the layout of the house. The two bedrooms were on opposite sides (split plan) with the living room, dining room and kitchen in the middle....all on one floor. Both the owner, Maria, and the manager, Lu, were very helpful and Maria provided a very useful booklet. I would definitely return.

Casa Palomita is cool, colorful, and comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen and house are totally well-equipped. It's an easy walk to the center of town. Having this place to stay is one of so many reasons visit Oaxaca again and again. --

“Excellent w/all the bells and whistles”
Reviewed 26 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

This spacious two bedroom caught me by surprise. Every detail meticulously taken care of. The home is located on a quiet safe steet closed off at the end. Walking distance to the center of town and near a main road that gets you in and out of Oaxaca.

The home is a delight. Spotless with all the conveniences in abundance (dishware, utensils, cabinet space, washer dryer, firm bedding, lots of pillows and clean linings, full stove, microwave, oven toaster, coffee grinder, etc). Tasteful artwork, traditional Oaxacan carpets, private spaces, two full bathrooms with plenty of fresh towels of all sizes, patio furniture, fountain, with authentic artesian Oaxacan art. You are in your own little world reading or outside.

The interior lighting creates a beautiful ambiance in the evening and indirect sunshine brightens up the living room during the day.

I extended my visit an additional week because of the peace and tranquility of Casa Palomita. This is truly a home for respite and self-care at an affordable price.

“Perfect place to stay!”
Reviewed 18 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Oaxaca, renewing old friendships and making new ones. Your home was a highlight for us. It is so gorgeous, comfortable, quiet, soothing and a true home away from home. Our stay coincided with the "SuperMoon" and every night light from the moon would pour through the skylights onto our bed. We felt a connection to the Zapotecs and their respect and worship of the moon. Your "Welcome to Casa Palomita" guide is fantastic and so helpful, as was the book "Oaxaca Tips". Lu was very helpful. We look forward to another visit in the future.
