Fantastic Time - We Loved URI & Adrian (in the activities & entertainment dept.) they headed up our pool and beach activities. PLEASE PASS CREDIT ONTO THESE TWO EMPLOYEES - THEY WERE FANTASTIC. URI was a great ZUMBA instructor, so energetic, fun, so friendly and wonderful! The property and pool was beautiful. The employees were very friendly and the resort was run well. There were a few downfalls: (actual building issues not employee) We had a large ocean front suite (ground level) and we never once had a warm shower, we had no warm water at all and our room had a damp feeling. With that said, the room was very nice with a huge balcony and great view.

Room Tip: Ocean Front are the best due to the view

All inclusive with kids, great experience. Plenty of eating options; casual tacos inside, Italian restaurant, steak restaurant, Asian , Mexican , sushi... plenty of options for all. There are shows in the evening; fire show, dancing, Michael Jackson... pool side; URI & his group, they do an excellent job keeping guests entertained with Zumba and pool games. Beach volleyball, 8am beach workouts... poolside, they have a fresh grill at lunch time and there are also servers bringing drinks constantly. It’s great to tip them, as they work hard. Inside, they have a nice coffee shop & fresh crepes , ice cream, desserts. Downfall I see- people go very early to reserve beach loungers, so unless you get out there at 7am, you can’t get a seat at the pool. They should not allow this, I think it would eliminate this problem. There are also not enough umbrellas to block the sun for the little ones, that’s only 2 downfalls I found. It’s 5 stars, we have stayed 2 years in a row . Excellent for kids!

Hi,
This was our 4th trip to the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun - always a pleasure to return this this all inclusive resort. We dream about the fish tacos when we are home! We have not one complaint, from the time we checked in with Oscmar at the Front Desk until we checked out - everything went beautifully. Many thanks to Fernanda C. who checked on us often to make sure we were enjoying our stay, made us dinner reservations and sent special desserts to our room. We stayed in a 2nd floor room in the Sun Tower with a view of the children's pool and ocean. We usually have an Ocean Front room, but opted for a Lagoon Room when we booked, but we asked for an upgrade when we arrived, which Oscmar accomodated us without a problem and we loved the location. The food was delicious in all the restaurants. We did not go to any of the shows this time simply because we have been before on our previous visits. We liked the recent upgrades to the rooms and the housekeeping staff kept our room spotless and clean. I used the Spa for a massage and also a manicure. Loved it! The entertainment staff at the pool, have high energy, play great music and they keep everyone entertained as well as having plenty of quiet and relaxation time. The bartenders have their work cut out for them, but they do it with a smile and all seem to enjoy interacting with the guests. Also, a shout out to our travel agents Sue Rice and Marina R. at New Era Travel in Miami, FL for booking this trip and our previous trips over the past few years for us. ;0)

This was our second time here in two years, and we had another great stay. Highly recommend this resort and eager to return. Review is a bit long, so feel free to pick and choose.

Food/restaurants – Lots and lots of choices and the quality was generally very good. The restaurants were a bit mixed. Our favorite by far was the Italian one (Rosato). Great pasta and Italian offerings. The steak was tough as leather at every location and don’t bother with the steak place, San Telmo. Only spot you need a reservation at, and it’s not worth the hassle. Very intimate and romantic and, good service, but even the premium steak was poor. Asian (Kambu), two Mexican and a beachfront seafood spot (Cevicheria) were all very good. Beach BBQ also good, but again the beef was tough. Hit it on the chicken or shrimp days. Poolside pizza spot was OK, but not great. Beach grill was pretty good. There’s also a small sushi corner. I’d give the general buffet (Kalmia) a solid B+ and a good choice for breakfast and lunch. Fresh salad, roasted vegetables were excellent, turkey, chicken and pork dishes very good. Desserts are pretty and pretty forgettable. Next to gift shop is a small spot serving ice cream and crepes, both of which were excellent.

Beach – White sand and beautiful blue water, but waves were rough and red flagged each and every day. Lots of chairs, but most go quickly in the morning to the drop towel brigade. A few brave souls went in the water a few feet. Lifeguards good at keeping folks out of the danger zones.

Pools – Two fairly large pools, on two levels and very nice overall. Upper level is usually quieter and perhaps a bit cooler. Lower level has both a segregated kids area and a much larger adult area, complete with a lively pool bar. Pool bartenders were awesome at keeping everybody happy. In the afternoons, staff provides a variety of entertainment for pool guests. Two “hot” tubs, but neither was all that hot.

Staff – Without a doubt, Fiesta Americana Condesa’s strongest asset. The staff was uniformly friendly, helpful and considerate. Most couldn’t do enough for you. Servers, bartenders, maids, lobby staff all were outstanding. Most spoke excellent English and all understood it enough for you to get what you need. Please tip these folks, they work extremely hard and are very deserving.

Room amenities – All rooms are air conditioned and renovated. Rooms have very comfortable beds with first class down bedding and a large pillow selection. Rooms are generally pretty soundproof. Try to request a real balcony, maybe a quarter of the rooms have one. Rooms have large TV, rainfall shower, safe, coffee maker, fee bottled water, minibar is stocked daily, a table, dresser and large closet, motion detection lighting, bathrobes and slippers. The toilet has door but bathroom sink area is open. Lots of TV channels but only two in English, one news and one sports.

Wi-Fi – Free and generally very good. A bit spotty at times in the room.

Location – very good. In the lower half of the bottom of the seven. An easy bus ride to shopping, restaurants clubs and bars.

Spa – Very extensive list of services available including massages on the beach, body and facial treatments, etc. Couples treatment rooms. I didn’t partake. Partner did and loved the massage package she got.

Fitness center – Small space and a bit outdated, but usable.

Business center – A few computers for use in the gift shop.

Nightlife – Not much here. There’s a nightly show at 9 p.m., the quality of which varied wildly depending on the night. Some were pretty good, Others very skip able. Lobby bar can be lively or dead, depending on the crowd. Small bar also tucked away. Party animals will have more fun elsewhere. The resort definitely doesn’t cater to the Spring Break set.

Bars – Several. One in the lobby, one tucked away at one end of the resort, pool bar, beach bar. Several roaming waiters take care of drink needs while you’re at the pool or the beach.

Store – Has the usual assortments of things you forgot to bring, plus snacks, resort wear, swimsuits, T-shirts, etc.

Kids and teen club – Lots of scheduled activities. Teen club has video games, pool tables, ping pong, etc. We didn’t partake so can’t say more about them.

Stayed: March 2018
