Checked in 3/31 and it took forever to check in. We were shuffled to 3 different desks. Finally, when we did get into our room, we had a view of CONSTRUCTION, no couch and minimal accommodations.
Dinner was a buffet that, honestly, was nasty. No real nacho cheese (we are in Mexico, right), and few nameable entrees...
We decided to talk to front desk about upgrading our room, and started that process after a night of uncontrollable cold air blowing on our kids, sleeping in a Murphy bed, with no couch in site!
After a decent breakfast (and good coffee), we viewed a new room, paid our money to upgrade and was told it would be ready at 11am (I paid at 9am)... so we spent the day at the beach (BEAUTIFUL), pool and kid’s pool, checking periodically with the front desk, as asked, for our room to get cleaned. After 4 trips to front desk, we FINALLY were able to get in our room... no apologies, no remorse, no compassion for our 6 yr olds who were exhausted with no place to go, NO offer for discounted ANYTHING... this place could care less about customer service! A MARRIOTT it is NOT!
I’d NEVER come back, NEVER CONSIDER BUYING, and would NEVER recommend it to anyone... poor job, Royal—- nothing! More
