Its a good place to visit for about 2-3 hours. A good guide will make a huge difference, if anyone is really interested in learning about the Mayan history.

Amazing half day here, if you like this kind of thing like I do you wont be disappointed. The only downer was all the hawkers all offering the same kind of crap you really dont want.

My dad and I went here with a tour group because it's one of the seven wonders of the modern world. We were not disappointed. There is so much rich history here - it's quite unbelievable how well they were able to preserve it in its full structure.

I would say, however, that there are other Mayan ruins that you can see in the Yucatan peninsula that aren't as crowded. The crowds here kind of ruin the whole experience, along with all the local vendors that have set up shops along the perimeter of the park and aggressively try to sell you things.

TIPS: take a lot of sunblock as there isn't a lot of shade. There are food vendors and souvenir shops inside the little shopping area. Ignore all the street vendors in the park. They will take advantage of you and rip you off (according to our tour guide).

This pyramid is impressive! It shows how the Mayans were some the the most advanced mathematicians and astrologers known the human kind.

The secrets of Kukulcan are truly amazing and reveal some very interesting aspects of the Mayan civilization. It is the center piece at Chichen Itza.
