We were off season, so it was exceptionally quiet. Quieter than I like. Because of the low occupancy the service staff was at a minimum, so it wasn't up to par.
The resort is quite small and beautiful. The rooms are amazing.

The rooms are very nice, and the staff is very friendly. However when we arrived our room wasn't ready, they then brought us to a room with the wrong beds, and it took us four hours to finally get it right. After a week of reminders, the manager did compensate us with dinner. The front desk staff is all very friendly, but only a few can offer any help regarding where to eat, what to do, or how to make reservations. The pool and rooms are well appointed, very nice facilities. The pool is huge, and has a fountain and a bar in the pool! The rooms are not at all soundproof though, you can hear all the music and talking from the pool, and if you're walking by you can hear conversations from the rooms. While it's technically true that there is Wi-Fi, there's insufficient signal in the rooms for it to actually be usable. Cab fare to the more bustling regions of the island runs about $5, which we found to be better than using a golf cart. There is parking for golf carts and scooters if you want one.

My friend & I had a bad experience 17th March 2015.

We came to this resort to use the tennis court.

Upon arrival we were given the option of an hourly charge, or a "deal" 250 pesos per person for "access to all amenities & food and drink all day".

We played tennis, had 3 drinks each over the day, one main course & a desert.

Upon leaving we were demanded to pay an excess of 700 pesos as we had gone over "a limit" we were not informed of. The lady she said she had mentioned the word "reasonable amount" but neither of us heard this.

We discussed with management. They admitted error but still insisted we pay, but could return for tennis the next day (which we did not want to go back for).

Perhaps a simple oversight from the friendly lady on desk, but aggressive male manager did not see any reason.

The drinks consumed were of awful quality, the portions small, cheesecake frozen and the crepes not cooked. Every order took around 30 mins to deliver, even though only 4 other customers.

Please beware! Shame as a beautiful tennis court, grounds & swimming pool.

Best wishes

As Club Regina owner's we love spending a week in Cancun then taking the hydrofoil over to Isla Mujeres for the second week. So easy and inexpensive to get to. The new large, modern market that's an easy (but hot) walk down the road makes it even better now. (It has food, liquor, fresh bakery, personal products, office products, pharmacy, small electronics dept. and a small clothing section). The staff on this property is wonderful, helpful & always there for anything you might need. Pool is gorgeous, quiet and always a lounge chair. Condos are perfectly clean and very well kept up with comfy beds and top quality linens. Kitchen is quite small but has the basics for a simple meal. They do have a restaurant with reasonable food (not gourmet, but certainly very good). This location is designed for quiet and relaxation. If you are looking for an exciting, busy place, Isla Mujeres is not a good choice. But if you want to just enjoy the sun and pool (there's no beach close by because it is in a lagoon area where yachts dock) and read and relax, this is the place to go! Lots of fun things to do on the Island as you choose.

Room Tip: This property is laid out nicely with all the villa's facing towards a beautiful grass area then the pool/cabana, in kind of a half moon shape. There is not a bad room in the place! Any villa would be great and they all have air conditioning (which you need, trust me). The differences are in the room layouts and amenities.

For anyone's first time to this country, this is a good place to stay for several reasons: it has most amenities we are accustomed to from living in US, the resort's location presents a great opportunity to observe the local culture and traditions, walking distance to newly built grocery store (think Target). The pluses: manicured landscape, close to the water, room service and restaurant on premises, flat screens TVs, ability to rent cars and golfcarts from premises, pool with bar, hammocks for every villa, secure entrance with guards 24/7. Room for improvement: suites on the small side, sewer smell permeating bathroom 24/7, staff courteous but limited English skills, punctuality; lots of mosquitos but no mosquito netting (bring repellant and use it daily); shower heads above jetted tub (difficult to get in and out of), VERY poor lighting (difficult to read), no mini fridges (unable to enjoy leftovers or any bought snacks needing refrigeration).
