We spent 3 amazing nights on Isla Mujeres and Hotel Secreto was one of the highlights. The small boutique hotel staff were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is within a very short walk from the central part of town (2 short blocks) and Playa Norte where shops, bars and restaurants are in abundance. Highest recommendation due to the location and proximity to terrific beaches and restaurants, yet the hotel is off the beaten path for a quiet respite from the nearby busy locales.

My husband and I visited hotel secreto on Islas mujeres at the start of our honeymoon in Mexico.

Totally secluded and yer close to north beach. The rooms are substantial and in fact we stayed on the 3rd floor and the views amazing .

Very quiet and well decorated rooms

Staff are helpful and not intrusive

The pool and outside space is perfect for quiet and relaxation .

Wonderful thanks to all the staff for the little touches.

We arrived here after a short boat ride from Cancún and were greeted with a welcome drink. Hotel Secreto is a small, stylish property, with 12 spacious rooms, all with sea views so don’t pay any extra for a ‘better’room. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included in our rate and was delivered to our room each morning where we could eat it on our balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The hotel also has a beautiful spa which offers many different treatments. There is no restaurant on site, however the hotel is a short stroll from many great restaurants. We would highly recommend this property for a relaxing, indulgent break.

The facility is getting a little run-down and while some staff were helpful and enthusiastic others were lethargic. A disappointment from what I have been told about Hotel Secreto. It certainly in no way approached the description I read of it being one of the 50 best small hotels in the world.

The rooms and the staff are very nice and helpful. The location is beautiful and convenient to restaurants and the ferry. However the big drawback is that no kitchen is on the premises. Supposedly there is a continental breakfast but when I was there for the one morning needing a bit of food before taking off for the trip home all I got was coffee no continental breakfast. Staff did not arrive before 7 am.

Room Tip: All rooms face the ocean
