Eat at Hacienda Teya and you would enjoy one of the best yucatecan meals you will find anywhere. Located at a historic Hacienda, Teya served true local dishes from YUCATAN. Panuchos, Salbutes, Longaniza Asada, Poc Chuc, Queso Relleno, Lomitos, and Pavo en Relleno Negro are my favorites.

a local person recommended us to go there for lunch and we weren't disappointed! very friendly servers and a quick service.
They really seem to have a good history. There are few photos with Hillary Clinton as well so this place is worth visiting.

Great venue for a wedding and comes with a five star restaurant. You will need transportation if you stay here as it is miles away from the touristy places of Merida. Photos of Don King, Sylvester Stallone and Hillary Clinton from their visits there.

The hacienda is gorgeous and the food fantastic. We had two delicious entrees: the Yucatan long peppers stuffed with ground pork and beef with a white sauce and tomato sauce, and the Puc chuk with a side tomato salsa which was served with a black bean soup. I highly recommend it but make sure you arrive well before 6 pm when it closes so you have time to see the hacienda and gardens before your dinner or lunch.

Our local friends took us here for traditional dishes of the Yucatán. We shared several plates of various foods with tender meat, rich sauces, and a variety of spice levels. Definitely try the hibiscus tea and a margarita fresa (strawberry). Save room for their flan which may be the best in the world. Also, don't miss the photos in the front lobby of the buildings when it was a factory a century ago and peek inside the event hall & tiny chapel.
