We're committed to sourcing local ingredients to compose elegant, innovative, and seasonally driven dishes. Fresh in concept and preparation, the menu’s varied flavors appeal to many palates. From the gambas pil pil to the thin crust margherita, from Irma’s famous huevos rancheros to the indulgent ricotta doughnuts, a meal at ZAMAS is an experience not to be missed.

I guess you can tell I enjoyed the nachos. I love nachos and these topped my list of all time favs. Also had the wood fired vegetable tacos which were just okay. Sat on the back patio area. On the side patio there are lanterns and they set out candles at night which could make for a romantic dinner if that's your thing- not fancy but beautiful setting.

We stayed in Akumal and went here for lunch. Easy parking. Nice views and ambiance. Polite staff and pretty good service. My Ceviche Mixto was very good and tasty. The rest of the food was OK, but nothing special given that the prices are more than twice what you'd pay in Tulum (not Tulum Beach) or about anywhere else. $50US for a coke, a beer, aqua fresca with watermelon (excellent), 3 tacos, ceviche, and chicken fingers for our kid. They were also out of many beers. I might return if somebody really wanted to but would otherwise find something where the view did not inflate the prices so much.

We were a group of 12 -- hard to find a restaurant that can accommodate us, much less during high season in Tulum. We chanced upon Zamas (they also have a parking lot!) and they had a number of large tables -- one was empty. This was the ONLY meal in the Yucatan where all orders came together and all were correct. Kudos to our waiter. Food was delicious. Setting was amazing. And the music was delightful.

My friends and I were a group of 5 adults and 7 teenagers on vacation for the holidays. We needed to find a restaurant for dinner at the last minute. Zamas was recommended. Everything was perfect. After driving up and down the insanity of the beach road, we walked in and they had a table for us on the beach.Kismet! The service, food, and ambiance were perfect. Food was really delicious. This was the ONLY restaurant we ate in for our 10 day trip that fit the bill.Everyone got what they ordered and enjoyed it. We ordered a pitcher of passion fruit mojitos (I think we were the first to request this). The server was very accomodating, friendly and extremely competent. The live music was exceptional!!!HIghly recommend!

This might not be the most special place location- or view wise, but the grilled spicy gamba's are amazing!
