We had a really, really good Al pastor taco here. The asada and the chorizo empanada (de maiz) were good but the al pastor them both away. They don't serve booze and the prices are super cheap. Really good spot to ease that taco hankering.

Cheap, quick and good, particularly for early breakfast and especially if you're staying at the beach, which doesn't get going until 8am. I would go back to Tulum specifically to eat here.

Went here looking for good local food after reading the other reviews and this place did not disappoint. It's a tiny little hole in the wall and almost no English is spoken but you can order using the pictures on the menu if you don't speak any Spanish. The food was prepared fresh in front of our eyes in their small kitchen area. (That was a bit disconcerting for me as clearly Canadian food safety standards weren't being applied but overall their operation was clean and we didn't get sick!) The prices were very cheap, especially compared to the other places in Tulum. No beer (or any alcohol) served. We had the cheese empanadas and the enchilada, both delicious.

This is a local restaurant - very casual with plastic chairs. The queso empanadas were very good as were the tacos. The tortillas, etc are made right there.
Very inexpensive - large amount of food for ~ $10.
There are pictures on the menu in case no one speaks Spanish. The staff speaks VERY limited English.

The enchiladas with mole were highly recommended by the hotel sanara. The mole was too sweet and I couldn't eat it. I would recommend the chile relenos with beef. Very cheap. Two meals came to $7.00.
