Martin's is a good inexpensive restaurant for breakfast or lunch. It is close to the bibliotecha. Try their Huevos Benedictos. They are well done. The service can be a bit uneven.

Martin Cafe serves up a terrific breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed eggs benedict- perfectly prepared with a delicious sauce and a vegetable omelet. Both were accompanied with juice, fresh fruit, a basket of fresh, hot bread, jelly and coffee. Each dish was under 100 pesos, an excellent value. It is a very inviting setting and service was very good.

We had fish meals twice here: pescado a la plancha (pan-fried) for 60 pesos and pescado cajun for 70 pesos. Both came with a simple but fresh and good side portion of salad and some not-very-good rice. The cold drinks included papaya agua de fruta at 20 pesos and frappucino at 30 pesos--both very good. Also had a large mug of cappucino for 30 pesos. Run by a very pleasant family. Would have liked to try the breakfast specials. Not sure what time they close, but I think they may not be open for dinner.

There's always something new at Martin's. Recently he's added Eggs Benedict and Eggs Oslo to his breakfast menu. Both are very good but the Eggs Oslo in my opinion are outstanding. Eggs Oslo are a variation of Eggs Benedict but with smoked salmon
instead of the usual ingredients. He's also making his own bagels which are very good.
and has bagels and lox, and Bagels with pork sausage and mustard (Bagel Leonardo)
named after a customer who asked for them.

Martin experiments with new dishes before putting them on the menu, so if you want something different it might be a good idea to ask if he could make it for you. He's also welcome to customer suggestions.

Another interesting item is Chicken Stroganoff on the luncheon menu. Very delicious.

We always try to stop here for at least one meal every time we visit San Miguel. The basic menu is very good but the daily specials are interesting and tasty as well. The service is quick. The decor is interesting. Not a lot of tables here, so there may be a wait during peak times.
