We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The bar and restaurant areas are cosy and the food ,both at breakfast and dinner was excellent with really helpful staff.
Location is quiet and peaceful.
Note : this is Devon so no mobile phone reception in the valley and the hotel WiFi was a bit flaky when most modern hotels have this 100% right all the time.
We stayed in a basic room (no.28). Adequate but in need of a refurb. Floors squeaked and the shower was cramped and handles stiff to operate. Bed was a small double with poor quality pillows .
Overall, I would have given this 3.5 stars but the food and staff just nudged it up to 4. More
