Spent two nights in a superior room. Spacious and clean with outside sitting area.
Delicious breakfast. Ate in restaurant both evenings. Food very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Branscombe is beautiful village and it is lovely 1/2 mile walk to the beach from the hotel

Nice place to stay fpr a weekend in a beautiful setting of Branscombe. Staff (Jaimie in particular) were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms have all you need but are very very small. Nice breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be back.

This is the 2nd time we have visited the Mason's Arms, the first quite by chance and we had a lovely lunch and we decided to come back here again this year. First of all Branscombe is a lovely place and the Mason's Arms a real find serving delicious food.

We had the Steak and Kidney Pie and the Fish and Chips, both equally lovely and both finished our plates.

We didn't have dessert as we just wanted a lunchtime meal and a good afternoon stroll to the beach and cliff walks - the dessert menu did look good but that will have to wait till another time.

Just returned from a two night stay at this little gem. It was really outstanding on every level. We had a spacious pretty bedroom with a huge bed and comfortable soft bedding.

The pub is everything an English country pub should be; good seating, good ales and good wines, with an open fire and the scent of sweet woodsmoke.

The staff were wonderfully efficient, friendly and thoughtful.

The food was exceptional; beautifully prepared and sympathetic to the ingredients. A rare find these days where fussy, clever chefs seem to have forgotten about the importance of flavour and simplicity.

Very highly recommended - even though I would prefer to keep this a secret!

This inn is perfect! From the moment of arrival to departure the whole experience was flawless. The building is charming and is fitted in a way that retains all the best period featrures but makes for absolute comfort in accommodation. For an inn in a small and quaint village where sometimes parking and access can be a problem, here there is more than adequate parking so for those with a cherished vehicle it is a worry free visit. The staff are astounding! Efficient, friendly, polite and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation is second to none and it was a total pleasure to be there. The food is of a standard so high that every visit to the restaurant or bar for food was something to look forward to. The food is fresh, locally sourced and prepared and presented admirably. Our compliments to the management, waiters, cleaners, chef, infact everyone involved in providing a stay at The Masons Arms should be commended for their achievements. I stay in many parts of the U.K. but his is the best and my only sadness was having to leave after three days! Thank you one and all at The Masons Arms for making our trip a real pleasure.
P.S. If anyone feels they can find fault with this place I would be very very surprised...it is really special.

Room tip: All rooms are fine.
