We had a wonderful time, as always, staying at Grand Solmar Lands End. This year we had a group of 9 family members. We have been coming for the past 4 years with groups of family. Each year we have been well taken care of at poolside by Francisco Triano - he has become a special member of our family now. He and his wife Veronica, who works in the deli, got my husband a birthday cake to share at poolside- so thoughtful! This year we got to experience the effects of Hurricane Bud and we were so impressed how the resort prepared for the storm and how the only concern was the safety of the guests! The resort truly did an amazing job during the storm - great team work. The entire staff at Grand Solmar is awesome! We can’t wait to return next year! Thank you to everyone at Grand Solmar!!!!!

We had another amazing week at Grand Solmar. Thank you Juan Carlos for helping me get the perfect room and surprising Steve with his kids arrival. I could not have pulled this off without you. Oscar and David at the sports bar never disappoint with the amazing times and entertainment. Even though we were there for hurricane Bud, it was amazing how quickly all the workers took care of disassembling everything and making us feel so taken care of. Next day it was like Bud never happened. Top notch service, food, room and amazing people. We cannot wait to see you all again soon.

Room Tip: we have stayed at every building with the exception of H and there are really no bad rooms.

This is our fourth time at Grand Solmar Bldg 6/fifth floor. This is a 5 Star resort and we have seen many and stayed at others, this is the Best. Great rooms, excellent staff and service throughout the resort. Enjoyed theme nights at Don Luis, I want to commend Alexis, our waiter, for ensuring our dining experiences were exquisite. The food was superb! He and Eduardo went out of their way to make my 65th birthday very special. Thank you to the entire staff who works very hard at the resort. We will be back and looking forward to staying at the new Grand Solmar Rancho also.

Room Tip: Every room has a view of the Ocean.

We have truly loved and appreciated both of our two stays at Grand Solmar Land’s End, but our recent trip was extra special. We hosted our wedding at the Resort and were beyond pleased with the turnout.
We had the pleasure of working with Erika Quiroz for just over a year in order to plan our wedding. She made some great recommendations. We were very happy with our photographer (Enrique Morales), the salon services, and food/drink options. Almost all of our requests were granted with smiles by her and the staff. For example, we asked to have some special decorations (framed photos of our loved ones) at our ceremony that would make it more personal. The event coordinator, Angelica Pina, made arrangements to meet us a few days before the wedding to take the decorations. She cared for them and placed them at the wedding per our wishes. She then returned them a couple days after. We even found a beautiful etched glass heart in our returned wedding ceremony decorations as we were checking out. We also asked to have gift bags distributed to our guests as they checked in. Another wish that was granted.
There were only a few things that I might have changed. Our cake/cupcakes weren't quite what we had expected/requested, but were still appetizing. Also, a few of our guests reported that the DJ wasn't very friendly to them. Although, we didn't have much interaction with him and he did play the songs we had asked for. My husband and I do not speak any Spanish so sometimes making decisions and communicating in order to plan our dream wedding proved to be challenging. However, I would say a great majority of the staff speak very good English.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel so special and celebrated during our 9 night wedding trip and honeymoon. Spa treatments were included in our wedding package and made for a couple extra relaxing and romantic moments for us.
Our guests were happy and so were we! Sometimes I wonder if the staff ever say ‘no’ as they constantly aim to please.
Our last day, was the cherry on top! As the Resort was hit with Tropical Storm Bud, the staff never slowed down or missed a beat. I can only imagine what went on behind the scenes in order to make the guests comfortable, safe, and well fed. Coming from our desert home in Las Vegas, we weren’t sure what to expect from today’s weather forecast. However, Grand Solmar Land’s End continued to surprise us and exceed our expectations in every way! Our hearts are full! We love you Grand Solmar and cannot wait to visit you again!

Room Tip: All rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean. We have stayed in both the Grand Studio and Grand Master Suites

Beautiful resort but our spa experience never happened. Booked massages for myself and a family member a day in advance. Arrived today on time but was told they were overbooked. Lady took our room number but never called so we went back and waited 30 minutes but no one came out. Side bar-these were supposed to be cabana massages but due to weather they were being offered in hotel rooms. Understood the location change but not honoring appointments, unacceptable. So dissapointed after looking forward to our relaxing massages. Not how we wanted to end our vacation.
