While staying at the Esperanza my wife and I were discussing (a) the culinary rut we seemed to be in when visiting Cabo, (b) the fact that the cab into town had risen to $25 from $17 since our visit in May, and (c), the fact that Ediths was closed until October 1st. So I did a quick TA search and low and behold found that Toro, right up the road from us, was highly recommended. I guess we have been driving by it for years!
Anyway...Toro: a modern bar and restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating and a Latin inspired menu. If you are looking for a burrito or enchilada this is not your place. But if you crave great cevechi (try the yellow), grilled octopus (up there with the best), thinly cut Spanish ham, sea bass or snapper in a sauce of peppers, fennel, cherry tomatoes and onion, or large shrimp in something similar, this is your place.
Try It! It will be a great add to your must visit list!
