We recently visited the West Bay Club and stayed in one of their 3 bedroom suites. We were specifically looking for this type of room setup which limited us to only a few hotels on the Grace Bay strip. We had previously already stayed at Seven Stars in a similar setup and wanted to try something different. The Grace Bay Hotel Group has a great reputation so we opted to try West Bay Club. The suite and hotel property were great. The pool and beach areas were nice and maintained well. The beach has a beach bar and dining area which was also nice if you didn't want to leave the beach area. The hotel has 1 restaurant which we knew going into it - the food was very good, nothing fancy but reliable. Ideal for every day lunch with a good variety. All of the seafood was always cooked perfect. Drinks at the bar were mixed well - not weak and not too strong. Concierge was one of the highlights. Every single individual we encountered at the front desk was stellar. This area of service was so much appreciated as the hotel is smaller and I felt like we interacted with them multiple times a day for different reasons. They were always accessible and ready to help in any way possible. Upon arrival I needed a few important items for my baby and by the time we got upstairs someone was delivering them. Shout out to Gio!! My biggest area of concern during our stay was the lack of pool and beach service in addition to the awful American breakfast they offer. They did not have wait service or individuals walking around asking if we needed anything like drinks or food. We always had to seek that out or get off the beach or out of the pool. I understand that the hotel is 4 star and maybe that is the difference from a 5 star but I would think that the hotel being in the hotel group that they are that would be a something available daily to guests. We had our very young kids with us and I couldn't always leave my position in the pool to get a drink or order food so that felt like extra work on a vacation where it shouldn't be. The breakfast while I understand is complimentary was the same exact items every day. They did not provide menus for other items that you could order - it wasn't until halfway through our stay that they said they could make us other items. But the cost and what they were, were not disclosed. It became a bit mundane eating the same items every day. They could provide some highlights. These would be my two negatives. Overall the hotel was very nice, clean, concierge was incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with. This is just a no frills hotel that does not have above and beyond service and alternate dining options like we have experienced elsewhere on the island. The hotel group should invest some time into working on these areas we did enjoy the property and our suite!
