Stayed here while attending a wedding near by. Staff were wonderful and so friendly and attentive without being 'in your face'. Breakfast was superb! They even made a dippy egg for our toddler. Room was clean and comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep.

I felt completely at home in Cedarwood House when we stayed there last week. Relaxed, comfortable and friendly. It was just right. We went to Castletown Geoghegan for a family wedding. We stayed in the B&B for two nights and we are so pleased that we chose it.
The wedding venue at Mount Druid was a 5 minute walk up the road through the village. That village had all the necessaries: pubs, a grocer shop, post office and a small shop selling local farm produce such as potatoes and eggs.
The town of Mullingar was 15 minutes away by car. Kilbeggan was about the same distance away and offered bus connections going East or West if you needed that.
Arriving at Cedarwood House was straightforward by car, we had checked our route on googlemaps before the trip and used a GPS in the car. The house looks welcoming from the moment you arrive through the gates. There’s a good car park out front for guests. I liked the winding open staircase from the entrance foyer to the first floor. I liked the décor overall: nothing fancy, simple, homely and tasteful.
My wife and I had one large double room, top of the stairs on the left. My parents had another. Plenty of space in our room, and behind the bedroom a walk-thru wardrobe dressing area to get to our ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast was a seemingly unlimited supply of all the things that make up a delicious Irish breakfast whether you prefer hot or cold fare or a bit of both.
Our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful during breakfast or indeed throughout our stay. So thank you Josie and Michael – you made it special!

Stayed at Cedarwood House while attending a wedding very friendly and welcoming,we were given Tea and sandwiches on arrival which was very appreciated after a long journey. Very comfortable room with bedside water provided which was a very nice touch I thought and a great breakfast in morning. All round a pleasant stay, thanks to Josie and family would not hesitate to book again if in the area.Go Raibh Agat.

I have to say this was a fantastic place to stay. I booked four rooms here when we were attending a wedding in the nearby Middleton park hotel. From the moment we arrived the hospitality was amazing. Josie welcomed all our our party and was very helpful and friendly. The place was extremely clean and the rooms are a lot better than many hotels I've stayed in. I would highly recommend this B and B.

Josie and her family were very pleasant indeed. Very accommodating and always very happy to help. We received a very warm welcome and were shown into the Chalet at the side of the B&B. It was private and sweet. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Very good location considering the wedding venue (Middleton House) was practically next door. Breakfast was good and there was ample supply of fresh tea should we need it. I would definitely visit Josie and her family again should the need arise.

Room Tip: The Chalet is perfect for small families. Has an ensuite
