If you want an impersonal place to stay, where staff are purely polite, then find yourself one of the big, generic hotel chains, as this place isn't for you.
If however you want a place that treats you like a relative, not a guest, that is homely and welcoming, then you've just found it.
Nothing is too much trouble for Josie or her husband - whether it is staying up until 11.30pm, because of ridiculously timed Ryanair flights, and greeting you with tea & sandwiches, or coming home late at night from a wedding, in dire need of a cuppa, or even staggering home in the early hours, forgetting your key & hoping to be let in, they will accommodate all of that!
There was always an unlimited amount of food for breakfast and Josie does a good impression of Mrs.Doyle, trying to get you to eat just a bit more.
The location is perfect for functions at Mount Druid or Middleton House, the former providing free minibus service home, the latter being a few yards away.
Our room (Vastina) was huge, with a large separate dressing area and very comfortably sized bathroom.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.More
