We make a habit of asking the locals where the best food is when we are in a new town. In Aguascalientes, all the locals were unanimous in recommending The Cenaduria San Antonio. We decided to give it a try. This restaurant is decidedly a "locals" hangout. A tourist not used to Mexico would probably not stop in to give it a try. That would be too bad because, In my opinion, this place has the best tamales I have ever come across in all of mexico. The lamb stew is also excellent if a bit spicy. The décor is non-existent and the building is usually crowded past the point of comfortability, but the excellent food is worth the effort. Located on the main drag, about 8 blocks south of the central plaza. I recommend this place for anyone who is a true aficionado of good Mexican food.
