This hotel is in the middle of remodeling. I am not sure if that was the reason it was so noisy or if it is the marble tile floors. I was kept awake the 2 nights I stayed and it was just horribly uncomfortable. It sounded like furniture was being moved at 2am. The clicking of heels literally all night long.
Also, they have this really ugly statue of a caricature of a black man/boy, I don't know who or what he is supposed to be. It's really takes you by surprise when you see it. I guess sensitivity is not the goal for the owners? Just seems bizarre in this day and age.
Anyway, other than what I mention, this hotel was clean. Nothing fancy in the rooms but they were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Fruit and sweet rolls and breads, coffee and juice. Also, hot options like chilaquiles, meat and egg, pancakes, etc. Really attentive and friendly staff at the front desk as well as concierge and waiters.
If it wasn't for the noise. I would stay again. It's about 10 minutes from the center of the city.More
