This was a two night stay bed & breakfast
Choose this accommodation because of proximity to West Bay, Bridport & trips to Weymouth area
Also local nearby pubs for celebratory evening meals
Convenient free parking
Quaint, not sure !!, in the eyes of us thought the place needed a lot of TLC
Dingy tired rooms & decor
Breakfast just ok, disappointing thin toast

Management response:Responded 2 October 2017

I'm sorry you felt that the rooms were dingy, the building is 300 years old with small windows, which we cannot do anything about, I'm wondering if you saw any of the other rooms. We do decorate at the end of each season and try to stick to bright colours.
We will certainly do something about the toast

The b & b is old-fashioned but our room was very comfortable and the breakfast cooked by Tim was one of the best on our 7-day walking holiday. I don't normally like fried bread but his was light and tasty. The stay was amazing value for money and the b&b is situated close to the South West Coast Path and yards from a good pub.

We got the last room at this lovely B&B, at the end of a long days walking. Tim, our host, gave us a very warm welcome and attended to our every need. We really enjoyed the ample sitting room, all the wonderful books, and the fully equipped kitchen. After serving us a great vegetarian full English breakfast, and sharing wonderful tales of his adventures at sea, he even sent us off with a gift of his favourite chocolate! Warmly recommended, in every way.

Stayed in the first floor flat for 4 days whist on a fishing trip with an old friend, in October.
The premises are very quaint and "olde worlde" with little knick knacks through out the premises.
Read some of the previous reviews and think they are a little unfair in relation to the building. It goes back to the 17th century so there are bound to be noises, from our point of view it was ideal for what we were looking for.
Owners are very helpful, genuine people, who work very hard, and the cooked breakfasts, prepared by Tim, were very good.
Ideal little place to use as a base.
Would I stay here again? most definitely.

Its not The Ritz, its a B&B and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
