Just back from a 7 night stay at this hotel, and can't really fault it. The staff were all really friendly. Rooms clean and tidy - with really comfy beds! Bathroom was spotless, and the shower always gave out hot water, regardless of the time of day we used it. We did use the hot tub and that too was fab. Lovely to just relax in it after a long hike! Free underground parking that was always available for us when we returned from our days out.

Only two minor irritations:

One was that the wifi was a bit iffy at some points, mostly in the evenings, but I guess that's going to happen when you have a full hotel of guests all trying to use the wifi at the same time!

Two was that one set of our 'neighbours' over the week couldn't manage to shut the room door without slamming it, which wasn't great at 5/6am as it made our entire room shake. Though the hotel can't really do much about that I guess!

Did not get to sample the 'free breakfast' as, because we had booked through a third party agent, we were not entitled to it. Did not realise that until we got there as the hotel website said all guests got the breakfast, but it wasn't the end of the world for us.

All in all, I would be very happy to recommend this hotel, and would not object to having a return trip!

we got a last minute reservation, room was clean and staff was very friendly. we enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. the continental breakfast was small but tasty. Overall a pleasant stay...minus the 6am wake up call we didn't order.

Please improve your internet infrastructure immediately! In this internet era, tourists can never tolerate an awful internet anymore! The breakfast was terrible too. At least bacon or hot eggs should be provided!

We stayed two nights at the Banff Inn, one of a long row of properties along the main road. Half a mile walk into 'town' for food, a very big room with two big comfortable beds, good bathroom, wifi and free continental breakfast. A jacuzzi and steam room - the sauna was out of order. Free underground parking. Good price too, friendly helpful staff.

The only problem was that our room opened onto reception, and when a family arrives at 2am, the mans voice booming loudly about how they have to get up early, yes we could hear every word, the woman laughing and shrieking, and then move into the room next door, it woke us up and ruined our last night's sleep. Tour groups leaving at 6.30, no problem, we're getting up. But 2am ? The hotel isn't to blame for such thoughtless people, but the layout doesn't help. I always ask for a quiet room. This wasn't. Don't let them give you a room like 106.

This hotel is located on the main avenue into town and is maybe a 15 minute walk to the centre. There is a pizza restaurant on the premises which is quite good. The hotel itself is nothing special, but is adequate for a short stay. There are no room safes which was a bit of a disappointment and I found the warm air heating rather unpleasant.
