This hotel does not look very inviting from the outside - BUT - inside you will find extremely helpful and pleasant staff, very clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds, hair dryer, laundry and even a sewing kit for those sudden little miss haps! Our room was dated but spacious and included table and chairs. The shower pressure was great. Coffee maker, jug and irons were all available upon request, as well as tea, etc. A short walk takes you to the C train which takes you efficiently downtown. The cost is $3.15 and valid for 90 minutes. A taxi to the airport is $30 fixed rate. Good value if you have heavy bags. This hotel is great value in a safe location.

Thank you for your review. Our staff appreciate your words and our Housekeeping Department is very happy to know that although our property is older... our rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Calgary.

Sure, the place could use a good facelift. My room looked like it was decorated in the 70s. But, the bed was comfy and the room was clean, clean, clean, and that counts more to me than the décor. The front desk staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Added bonus was the continental breakfast. A great value for the money. Good water pressure in the shower too!

Stayed for one night basically just to shower and sleep, passing quickly thru.
Check in was very nice, the ladies working the desk were friendly fast and efficient.
Room was okay certainly not the bellagio but clean and the bed was very comfortable. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
Enjoyed the pool area, as it was very hot when we arrived decided to go for a quick swim and enjoyed it.
Good bang for your buck, payed more for our dinner next door at Boston pizza than we did for the room.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments and review. I am glad you had the opportunity to enjoy the pool area. Hope to see you on a future trip to Calgary... perhaps you can enjoy our BBQ area - further enhances your good bang for your buck.
There are also many restaurants in the area providing a huge choice of dietary choices.

Hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Room was spacious and clean when we checked in. If I had to say anything 'bad' it would be that you can slightly hear the people above you if they are running around in their room, but barely. If you're looking for a decently priced place to spend the night this is a great place to stay. Plus they have free breakfast ;)

It's a decent motel for the price. We were here for the Calgary Stampede weekend and prices were through the roof....about double the usual prices. Availability was limited and since prices were high..I looked into this motel. You get what you pay for: that being said, I don't expect a fancy room but our room did the job. We don't need frills when we travel; just a bed to sleep on. This motel was a bang for the buck. Affordable; free parking; a small continental breakfast, etc. It is only a ten min drive from downtown Calgary. The only downside was that was no iron in the room and when we inquired at front desk, they said they "ran out". What motel/hotel doesn't have an iron?

I sorry to hear that we "ran out" of irons. I don't remember this ever occurring but will ensure that we increase our stock so this isn't a problem in the future. Although we do not have irons, coffee pots, kettles in the room - we do have them upon request. We strive very hard to ensure all our guests get a courtesy call shortly after check-in to see if there is anything that they require. Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.
