I have to admit that we completely missed this on our way to Jasper, but on our way back we slowed down our driving speed (hard to do with all the other cars who tailgate you constantly). But if you stop caring about the tailgaters, you can actually place your focus on the mountains and mountainsides--at first you might think--as we did--that it's snow you see scattered here and there. If you are patient enough, park your car, use binoculars, you will see that "the snowy patches" actually move...it's goats that have parked themselves all over the mountainside. You need to be patient, though. And quiet. Nothing scares animals away like the sound of humans.
