Rooms are average size and equipped with the usual but not air conditioning. Bathroom was updated except for silver coated items which were oxidizing. The door squeaks and so does the hall floor. Maple furniture is dinged-up. Pillows are hard and so are towels. Good lights and outlets and bathroom supplies. Average size room. Mountain atmosphere. Could use some updating.

Stayed 3 nights here on a driving tour of the Rockies and found it to be very comfortable, with helpful staff. Plenty of parking on site, but if you use rear entry as being nearer your room, be aware there are only stairs at this end of hotel to lug your cases up. Only elevator is at the front by reception. This was only hotel on our tour that did not include any form of breakfast with the room only reservation. We obviously realize what "Room only" means, but out of 7 different hotels booked as room only on our tour, we were pleasantly surprised to find that 5 of them did, in fact, include a breakfast of some sort with the room. Full buffet breakfast (paid as extra) was very good though. Many coach parties used the hotel as an overnight stop so was busy at times. A bit far out from downtown Jasper to walk, but found no problem parking in town. Overall, a good base for touring.

Room tip: Rooms near elevator on lowest floor overpowered by noise from laundry.

Don't be deceived by the nice looking front of this hotel. The design and decor along the corridors make it look like a care home! No decoration whatsoever. Our room was on the first floor what we would call in the UK the basement. The windows in the bedroom are at ground level. When you open them they are level with the earth horrible. We only stayed 3 nights but having read the recent reviews I have to say we slept very well we had no problems with noise from other guests. We were well away from the car parks. The room was clean and the ensuite was ok. We noticed on the 2nd day that we also had a small refrigerator under the tv which was useful. Staff on reception were polite but disinterested. After reading the reviews on the hotel restaurants we ate in town.

Room tip: Make sure you ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor

On the positive side, spacious room with useful kitchenette and friendly willing staff. Easy enough walk to town centre. Food OK. On the negative side, ear plugs a necessity to muffle the incredibly loud plumbing as folk in neighbouring rooms, or rooms above or below yours, use loos, showers, bath etc. Clump, clump, clump of heavy footsteps and voices also a problem. At side and rear of hotel there is a large carpark. Whenever one of the many cars is locked (as is the American/Canadian way) the horn blares out through your open window (you need the air) punctuating the evening and night. Voices from car park also prevent sleep. Shame we had booked three nights here as it was our worst experience of accommodation during our fortnight in Canada.

Firstly there is no ramp on entrance we had to carry our heavy luggage up the steps. This also made us wonder if or how they can cater for people with disabilities?

It is the grubbiest place we have stayed in since arriving in Canada and very over priced at $634aud for 2 nights. No aircon!

Although you can make a cup of tea in your room, no milk is supplied.

Overall rating for this accomodation is extremely poor.

Room tip: Try to find somewhere else to stay
