The hotel is on the edge of town so you need to drive in for an evening but this is very easy as it's only a few mins, rooms were very clean and tidy and the desk staff very good. Pool was good and hot tub very warm ( but once you're used to it, lovely )

We booked two adjoining rooms for my family with three nearly grown children. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the beds very comfortable and luxurious. The lobby was welcoming, and the front desk staff helpful and friendly. We had a small problem with our bathroom which was very quickly fixed by hotel maintenance. Overall we were all quite pleased with the hotel. Up front, please realize that this is a recently renovated mid-century hotel. The pool and hot tub were nice enough, but the tile floor could have used a good cleaning. If they advertise anything in the way of workout facilities, it is likely overstated. The gym included a nordic track elliptical machine, a rather sad looking lifecycle, a bosu ball, a mat and two 10 lb. weights. If you are in Jasper though, my guess is that hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities are keeping you plenty fit. The drive into town was easy and parking was not a problem. I estimate that it was about 20 minute walk, but we took the car each time due mainly to hiking fatigue. Jasper is fairly quiet as destinations go, and I think if I were to visit again, I might prefer to stay right in town. If you are ok with walking a bit or taking your car, the location is not at all an issue. The Chateau Jasper was a very good value in a pricey area.

Thank you for your comprehensive review. You are most correct in terms of the work-out room. Jasper's great outdoors offers a multitude of outdoor activities (low and high impact), both in winter and summer, which the vast majority of Jasper National Park visitors come to enjoy. Be it a 5km walk around the town hiking trail, a longer hike on Jasper's "Pyramid Bench" hiking trails (all accessible from town) or a day of thrilling skiing or ice climbing; very few folks do make use of hotel exercise rooms. We have relayed your comments pertaining to the bathroom floor to our executive housekeeper. Thanks again and safe travels.

Great Hotel, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to town centre. Good breakfast. Large and clean rooms. Great views of the Rockies.Plenty places to eat close by. Can hear the trains at night, but that adds to the fun.

The exterior was of average appearance, but the interior, very nice. Clean and very comfortable, with very nice staff. Huge t.v. screen, roomy bath, even a faux fireplace. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer.

The most expensive hotel on our 25 night trip across Canada. Didn't feel I got good value for my money. Not a fan of high end hotels, but Jasper is full of them and you just have to pay up.Restaurant on site was adequate, but not that good.

Room tip: A long walk to city center
