Red Mountain might be the best ski hill in BC. Epic turns and so much terrain. Half the size of Whistler but a small fraction of the crowds. We didn't wait in a lift like once. The $10 cat rides are a nice touch.

We stayed at Slalom Creek Bldg C. Beautiful condo with a few quirks (dirty pizza cutter and leaky faucet) but otherwise a good stay for average value.

Plans are already in place for a return stay here this time next year. We needed a new home away from home as our parents sold their home in Rossland and moved out of town. Red Mountain Village did not disappoint; super friendly staff, beautifully furnished, comfy bed, spotless and amazing view of Red. Location is right at the base of the mountain for ski, snow-showing or hiking. Walking distance to Rafters pub. View of Red Mountain from room was breath-taking. Warning: Once you ski red you won't like skiing anywhere else!

We stayed in a "Small Cabin" which is superbly designed for travellers who match the following:
-1 to 2 persons with ANY amount of gear and luggage
-Staying 1-3 nights
We are a very tall couple used to a large living space and so we brought a TON of snowboarding stuff and Christmas presents to open. There was plenty of room. The Small Cabin has the following awesome features:
-Tons of coat hooks and hangers over a heater to dry all your ski gear at night
-Great pillows on two beds (one to sleep and one to pile up all your ski gear)
-Very fast accurate separate heat control for bedroom and bathroom
-Table and 4 chairs, practically a full kitchen; pans, toaster, cutlery, stovetop etc
-Great free wifi in each cabin
Things to be wary of:
-No place to charge phones that isnt mega awkward
-No daily room service unless you specially request and pay (a lot) for it. That means no new towels either.
-If you dont clean your own dishes before leaving it costs $75
You can easily walk to the chairlifts from here, good free parking next to each cabin. If there are more than two of you go one cabin larger, or pay for room service or you'll run out of towels. This place was great for a short stay but I wouldn't want to go a week without housekeeping. Really good daily rates considering we stayed Christmas Eve through the 27th, and you can't beat the view of a mountain right outside your front door. We'd do it again for sure.

Over Christmas we rented a four bedroom condo furnished to a "T". Absolutely beautiful place with 4 bedrooms, four bathrooms, four decks, hot tub, ski mountain view, 5 minutes to the lifts. Incredible staff very accommodating and friendly. Amazing place.
Heated garage. Rossland town is picturestic with the snow, temperatures around -3 during the day, shops, mom and pop stores, cafes and restaurants. Absolutely magnificent place. Favourite restaurant is Igdies.

Room tip: Lots of stairs, three levels to the condo.

We visited Red Mountain for the first time on 1 Nov 15 and stayed at the Redstone for 4 nights. Wow what a lovely town house, a few days of luxury. Bed was super comfy, extremely cozy and the views from the windows were amazing, even better from the huge deck and hot tub. The home was very clean and had everything we needed to cook our meals. From booking to leaving we had great service from the team at Red Mountain Village. They asked us what we were looking for when we contacted them which made sure we got the right accommodation. On arrival they were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home right away. I understand it is a new management team this year, Shelby and John. We live and work at another ski resort and would love to have them. Having never been to that area and as it was not yet ski season it was very quiet, exactly what were were looking for. They were happy to spend time with us telling us where to go and what to see around the area. We look forward to coming back to explore more. .
