The St Regis is a little large to be strictly boutique, and yet the attention to detail surpasses full-sized hotels.
Careful, attentive check-in (the lobby is tiny so a big group needs to enter in pods or stages!) was the introduction.
We arrived very early, so our bags were whisked away for safe keeping and we were given a wonderful concierge consultation on finding precisley the kind of sumptuous post flight brunch we were looking for. When we returned, our bags were already installed in our room, and maps for a road trip I had mentioned were waiting for us, with ferry rates and timing included.
This is very comfortable. Fine bedding, thick towels, high quality toiletries and chocolates are among the niceties that mark it as an upscale, downtown address.
Breakfasts are excellent: there is a small menu of global breakfast choices, freshly prepared in the quiet basement dining space, off the hotel bar.
Despite the name, this hotel is independant; not a part of the St Regis luxury brand, but a stylish, elegant professional hotel, as warmly composed as any in the city.
I've been travelling to Vancouver for decades and can no longer imagine staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: Elevator is narrow. If you travel with big bags and big friends, you may need multiple trips!

Fantastic location! Restaurants, shopping, & Skytrain are all footsteps away. Daily free Fiji water & WiFi. Daily breakfast is included as well. Room was smallish yet comfy and very clean. Small bathroom with minimal storage but decent sized shower; L’Occitance products are a nice touch. Elevator n/a due to reno, discount on room rate. Friendly front desk staff. Really good value considering location and amenities. Didn’t get a chance to access the gym which is only a short walk away. Recommend!

First stop in Canada and can not fault the rooms, staff and location.

Made to feel so welcome and nothing too much trouble for the genuinely friendly staff.

The adjoining bar also spot on for a beer and snack after a long flight.

Highly recommended.

I booked this place, since I liked the location, which was very good, totally centric.
I liked the bathroom products, “L’ Occitane”.and also the decoration... i wantd a small hotel instead of big chains.
The building is very nice, I also like the places that have been there for long time, so as this one.
The men behing the desk were great. Nice, polite, attentive, great just great.
The room was not so big but good enough, bathroom and everything has great quality, I rather have that than just bad space.
Bed was very comfortable. And everyone is talking about breakfast in there, I read some reviews, and they all say it was delicious.
Well I am a bit picky about that. The juice comes from a box. But if you go downstairs to the restaurant, instead of the included breakfast, they do have freshly squeezed juice.
The eggs with those little potatoes were very good.
I would recommend it for sure, great for shopping, just across the street from a huge shopping mall.

Room Tip: Go for the bigest one

After extensive research we chose to stay at the St Regis for our short stop in Vancouver, and we're so glad we did. From the moment we got there, the two men behind the desk (I'm sorry I can't remember their names) were so helpful. We had trouble finding the car rental return place and they both gave us accurate directions, and took our bags up to our room while we dropped the car back. Our room was fantastic, separate lounge room and bedroom, spacious bathroom with a massive shower, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included which was just OK, nothing fancy, but great for convenience. Complimentary wifi, however we had a lot of trouble connecting to our room wifi so we had to connect to another room's wifi. Hotel was in a great location and very well maintained. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would choose to stay again if we came back to Vancouver.
