Loved our stay here. Although we are used to larger hotel rooms, it was generally nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were awesome. Thank you for making our first time to Vancouver, BC such a memorable experience! Great location as well.

I travel often for work and play. I stayed at the St Regis Hotel this week and was I impressed. The service and the entire staff was outstanding. Food at the hotel was Outstanding, but most of all the cleanliness of the room and the hotel itself is unbelievable. I stay about 100 nights a year in hotels and this was by far the best.

Thanks Guys

I thought I was staying at a hotel from St Regis chain, but that was not the case. Food was not good, room was OK and staff very helpful, but still I would have expected better location, better amenities, better bar.

The St. Regis Hotel has proudly operated, independently and locally-owned, under that name for over 100 years in the city Vancouver. We do not make a claim and have never made a claim to be part of the corporate chain of the same name which launched in 1999, over 85 years after our hotel opened its doors. We have a stand-alone website, we use different branding, and are clear in noting that we are "independent, Canadian-owned and operated" on the front page of our website.

We offer guests the choice of two connected restaurants and along with our moderately-priced Bar & Grill, guests can also indulge in the outstanding food and cocktail bar at Gotham Steakhouse, the city's finest and most awarded steakhouse.

We're disappointed that your confusion regarding out hotel led to an unsatisfactory experience and hope that the rest of your visit to Vancouver was enjoyable and memorable.

The welcome, check in and room were first rate. The breakfast was fresh and hot. So why only a rating of three? I was encouraged to book a taxi to the airport, not once but three times. I took up the offer - even though in the middle of the city taxis are everywhere.... Only to watch the taxi driver secretly giving the doorman a tip for booking him. When I asked to use the meter, I was 3 times told a fixed rate higher than usual. No one want to be taken advantage of. Note to owner - your staff need to be working for the guests not for the kick backs of taxi drivers.

Thank-you very much for taking the time to share your impressions of our hotel. We're very sorry for the unsatisfactory ending to your stay.

Vancouver is a city which struggles with a shortage of taxis, and we always recommend that guests make a taxi reservation for important trips like one the airport. It's also worth noting that Vancouver taxis have indeed moved to a flat rate for all trips to and from the airport, so the driver was not attempting to overcharge you.

Having said all that, I would like to again extend our apologies. There's never an excuse for you or any guest to be left feeling exploited, and I will be addressing this issue with our entire team to remind them of our standards and expectations.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly if you have any other comments about your stay you wish to share.
