My meal was sublime. The house salad of water cress, arugula and young greens was complimented by slivers of fresh pear and morsels of blue cheese. I ordered gnocchi with shrimp in a tomato sauce, and savored each perfect little pillow, marveling at the Chef’s expertise in taking a relatively simple dish and raising it to such a level of perfection. My companion’s scaloppini with mushrooms was equally superb. We shared a tiramisu, savoring every divine morsel. The service was delightful as well as being impeccable. There was a small mix-up with the reservation and the Owner/Chef called that morning to apologize and assure me that we were expected at the appointed time. This was a memorable meal.

Such a awesome treat, was recommended by my tailor Saeed at Harry Rosen. Really appreciated our server Gaetano. But such a great team of servers. Top notch wine list, no limit to indulging in great wines. Portions are large enough for two to share, great way to get a few more tastes of their refined offerings. Presentation is excellent. Yeh really this was a Wow! for us. Treat yourself, don’t worry about what it costs, we felt it was worth every cent.

Went for dinner with some workmates for dinner. We had requested a private room and it was a perfect set up. We all enjoyed an 8 course meal. The service was excellent! From Chef Pino who briefed us on every meal to the waiter who attended to us the entire evening.

I highly recommend it if you like Italian food and you want to treat yourself.

Cioppino's is a classy and classic Italian restaurant with a beautiful and relaxing décor of dark wood and creamy yellow walls. You'll find Chef Pino wandering around the restaurant talking with patrons and keeping a watchful eye on the dishes coming out of the kitchen.

They have an encyclopedic wine list so don't hesitate to ask for help from your knowledgable waiter. We even discovered a delicious and hard-to-find bottle of a red Cannonau from Sardinia here. Fresh bread accompanied by a ramekin of chick pea spread and olive oil was a good complement to the wine.

We started with a seasonal favorite: deep fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta cheese served with a few slices of zucchini sauteed in olive oil. It tasted just like being in Italy.

We shared an order of house made gnocchi served that night in a Roman style Cacio e Pepe (black pepper and pecorino cheese) sauce. This dish is so rich that a single order is enough for two to share. The gnocchi were good, but not great. Gummy , not pillowy, perhaps from over kneading in the kitchen.

Our veal porterhouse steak was outstanding. Large enough for 2 to share, it was sliced in the kitchen for us. Perfectly medium-rare, it was topped with a wild mushroom and marsala cream sauce. We definitedly used some of that fresh bread to clean the plate but I refrained from gnawing that T-bone in public.

Then we shared the absolutely best cannoli I've ever eaten in my life. A fried crispy shell filled with a wonderful vanilla and (almond or pistachio?) cream and topped with fresh berries. I am not a desert person, but this was memorable.

Friendly , professional, and knowledgable waitstaff: Molto gentile.

Highly recommended. We would eat here every month if we lived in Vancouver.
