Owner description: Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

Wonderful place to eat - usually have to wait for a table as the view and the food is soooooo good.We often go on a Friday night about 6:30 as it is easier to get a table at that time.In the summer you can even sit outside!

Was there in the low season, still had some good fish tacos, had a play area for the kids, and got to see seals eating fish scraps. There are some interesting looking house boats out there too. Very nice place to go for lunch on a nice day.

Some of the shops at Fisherman's Wharf were closed for the season otherwise I would have given this quirky residential and working wharf five stars. Fisherman's Wharf was essentially next door to the place we were staying so my Wife and I visited everyday doing our week long visit to Victoria. We were able to stroll and enjoy the pier and shops, and even grab an ice cream and Fish & Chips on several occasions. Perhaps the most enjoyable part of visiting for us was looking at the houseboats, and floating B&B's with their eclectic and quirky architecture. The views of West Vic and to some extent the inner harbor were also great.

Fisherman’s Wharf along the eastern end of Victoria’s Harbor walk. Seeing Fisherman’s Wharf is a must do activity. You can also take a Victoria Harbour Ferry as the Wharf has a dedicated dock. It is similar, but not like the houseboats in Seattle and Vancouver. This area has its particular ambiance and panache.

All the houseboats and kiosks are designed in various colors. It is a “happy” place. There are a number of businesses located in this quaint harbor spot. Bed and Breakfasts, a tour companies and multiple numbers of eateries are here. The overall numbers of houseboats are personal homes though. Certain degree of respect should be given while walking around.

Jackson’s Ice-cream Float is one of my favorites. I liked to have a sausage hoagie at Anchors and Smoke Barbecue. They have a liquor license and provide seats for their patrons. There is also Barbs Fish and Chips and even a Mexican restaurant to name a few places.

At the time of this writing, a curious seal was swimming causing quite a major attraction.
