N'est pas un grand hotel; des rénos sont en cours et perturbent l'accès dans l'hôtel.
AC is not great; but close to everything. Clean......great service at the front desk by Paul......we will be back for skiing....... yes worth the trip.

Dear Valued Guest,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to share on your stay. We apologize for the construction to the lodge as it ultimately affected easy access to the lobby. We are delighted to hear our Front Desk staff provided you with commendable service.

We look forward to seeing you in the winter time for your ski trip!
Warmest regards,

Our stay at a deluxe suite was overall acceptable. However, the noise isolation is not adequate so we can hear the crowds outside the pizza shop until 3 am. We told the hotel staff our preferences but were told that rooms were pre-assigned.

Other notes:
- door lock ran out of battery, had to wait 20 minutes for staff to fix.
- murphy bed leg was falling off
- hotel double charged my credit card (they said it was a common mistake)

The hotel should work with the Whistler village to establish quiet hours for all business.

Room Tip: Quieter side away from village (if they allow you)

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding your recent stay at our lodge.

We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced, and for any noise disturbances you encountered during your stay.

Our rooms are pre-assigned, and preferences or requests made during the booking process are taken into consideration. We also do our best to accommodate requests upon check-in, however is more difficult at this stage, and all requests are dependent upon availability.

We do have a preventative maintenance program in all of our suites, and we are disappointed that this did not prevent the issues you described from occurring. We truly apologize for the inconvenience that these issues caused you during your stay.

We appreciate your feedback, and whilst we have not met your expectations during this recent visit, we do hope to see you again in the future when we will ensure a wonderful experience.

Kind Regards, Erin Thomson - Customer Care, ResortQuest Whistler.

We spent about five nights in Whistler, our favourite spot for outdoor adventures. This being our second time, my son and I were familiar with Whistler. The accommodation of the Whistler Peak Lodge is ok, nothing spectacular but comfortable, clean and just what we needed.
Paul, at reception, was and is the embodiment of a person who truly understands hospitality. He could not have been more accommodating, helpful, forthcoming and friendly at all times. He helped with anything needed and is a source of useful information. Keep him !
The lodge is perfectly located in the heart of Whistler with everything in walking distance.
Only drawback was a construction at Lobby level which prevented the guest from reaching their rooms with convenience, hence you have to go down the elevator, walk across and take another elevator up to your respective room/suite. But with direct access to the Whistler pedestrian zone, its not so much of an issue.

Perfect location on the stroll right in the Village with just a short walk through the village to the lifts. Really good Earls restaurant and a Starbucks at your doorstep. Property was clean, room was large enough with full kitchen, pull down Murphy bed, in room portable air conditioner which works well. Very enjoyable stay.

For location and value for money hard to find better in Whistler. Right smack in the middle of Whistler village beside all the shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. and 7 minute walk to the Whistler gondola.

1 bedroom suite is essentially booking a 1 bedroom condo/apartment to stay in. Read the fine print and understand that this is a lodge and not a full blown hotel. Heard others in the lifts complaining about not having daily room cleaning, room service, bars, restaurants, etc. Pretty clearly says this on the website, but they clearly didn't read properly first.

Main criteria I judge hotels on is bedrooms and bathrooms. This 1 bedroom suite (517) was very spacious, even if the layout was a little strange. Supposed to be an extra large bed but was in fact 2 double beds at either end of a long narrow bedroom, about a foot either side of the main bed and none around the second. Can't imagine how the second bed would ever be used?

Spa bath was a nice feature. Being 6ft 3but showering in hotels is normally entertaining but this place win the prize for least practical shower. Probably only really works comfortably, ie stand directly under the shower, for people under 5ft 5 due to the sharp sloping roof the bath was under.

Living space and kitchen were very large, designed for families or small parties to live in. Kitchen is fully equipped if you want to save a few more dollars for passes and eat in, grocery and liquor stores are less than 5 minutes walk away. Plus you are right on top of Cowes where the queues for the ice cream are well worth the wait!

Only real negative is the layout is very funky and Ben on the front desk doesn't do a great job of explaining how to get to your rooms. Luckily we bumped into 2 of the cleaning staff who took us all the way from the lobby to our room, without them we might still be wandering around Whistler village wondering where we are staying.

If you want plenty of space to live in, close to the centre of Whistler for a great price, this is your choice. If you want a fancy hotel with all the latest facilities, spas, mini bars, etc you probably want somewhere else.

Room Tip: Read the fine print, understand exactly what you want out of you stay. Layout is very funky so hard to give advice on which bit is best

Dear Martins,

Thank you for your comprehensive review of the Whistler Peak Lodge. We are happy to hear that you found your room to be large and comfortable while remaining in the good value category. We are sorry that you had a room with a slanted ceiling in the shower. Whistler Peak Lodge has unique rooms which all vary, next time we can try and get you a room with a high ceiling in the shower to accommodate your height more comfortably.

We are glad that you enjoyed Whistler village and got to try out Cows delicious ice cream! We hope to see you again for your next Whistler getaway!
