Description: Named for the curvature on the side of a ski or snowboard, Sidecut offers a modern take on traditional mountain cuisine. Situated in the celebrated alpine location of Whistler, the restaurant's sleek wood interior offers an inviting setting where diners can cozy up to the open fireplace or dine on our sun soaked patio. Enjoy dishes such as the Steakhouse "Sushi" Roll, Bourbon Birch Braised Belly of Pork, or prime-aged steakhouse cuts, cooked to perfection and inimitably paired with house-made rubs and signature sauces. Featuring a locally-sourced menu that evolves seasonally, the restaurant's farm- and ocean-to-table influence pays homage to British Columbia's diverse fare. To complement any meal, the extensive wine list features international labels as well as an exclusive selection of B.C.'S premier vintages. Here, steak is more than a meal. It's an experience.

You cannot reserve a spot for the BBQ, so when we arrived at about 6:40pm we were told there was a wait of about 40 minutes.

We grabbed a drink from the bar and sat outside to wait. At 7:30pm we went back to the desk and was told there were 2 groups in front of us. When the staff realised that we were going to stand at the desk and wait a table outside suddenly became available.

We were seated in the middle of a long trestle table with very little space. There was live music playing, and it was impossible to have a conversation. I complained and asked to be moved, and we were moved inside to the bar. There were quite a few tables inside available so I don't know why we had to wait so long for a table in the first place. Once inside, we had more space and could actually talk to each other.

The food was very good, with a huge choice. You would go to the various stations and help yourself. It is 'all you can eat'.

Servers were on hand for drinks orders, but service was quite slow.

Initially, when we we seated outside we were ready to leave and eat elsewhere, but once inside we enjoyed our evening.

The cost of the BBQ is CA$34 per person which is good value.

TripAdvisor Review- Sidecut- Whistler

The food is absolutely delicious. Virtually everything on the menu is amazing. The seafood platter is good, but it’s overpriced (a small plate for 60 bucks).
Anyways, one of our members has a wheat\gluten, nuts, eggs, dairy, seeds and shiitake mushroom allergy. They wrote her allergy on a sheet of paper, and was very careful to eliminate all traces of the ingredients. They were very good about it.

The food is to die for, and is full of flavour. The truffle fries are especially good- crispy, but not greasy. Their salads are also delicious.
It’s inside the Four Seasons, and the Four Seasons is in a great location.
Wow. Amazing restaurant.

This restaurant has consistently great food. Fantastic for Children (kids under 5 eat free).
For our anniversary we tried the Canadian Tasting menu and unfortunately we were disappointed. Otherwise their normal menu is fantastic. Highly recommend their steaks, burgers, pastas and salads.

Ate here with a table of four in August, 2017. The appetizers were superb; massive mussels in a lusciously savory broth and oysters so fresh the brought the sea to my palate. The bread and herb butter is to die for. Pre dinner craft cocktails were also excellent; inventive and served with style. But then things fell apart with the mains. My wife and I had red snapper and it was overcooked and dry. We also ordered sides. The broccoli was cooked to perfection and the garlic mashed potatoes found the sweet spot between too dry and too mushy. The cauliflower was, like the fish, overcooked. Another guest in our party ordered a ribeye steak. It was good, but stringy and not the great we expected. Deserts were also just OK. Almond cake was chalky, and the chocolate mousse desserts seemed haphazard. The service was excellent. Wait staff kept our water glasses full and served and removed our drinks and plates with unobtrusive grace. In sum, the service was tops, but the food both great and average: not at the steadily high level I've come to expect from the Four Seasons or other restaurants at this price range--which leads me to be more picky than I might be of a restaurant at a lower price point. In sum, I'd say that Sidecut is good, but lacking in the consistency you'd expect from a restaurant in its fine dining price range.
