Description: A Whistler Tradition! Blacks Pub and Restaurant is one of Whistler's oldest establishments and continues to set the standard in great value for food and service. Located at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas, Blacks is the perfect place to round off your day of mountain activity, whether it's sitting on our patio or restaurant downstairs, or enjoying the best view in town from our pub upstairs.

We went here last night as it was the only place we could find a table for 6 to reserve. The server was attentive but not overly that intruded, the beer selection was great. We had starters and mains and the portions were big. The food was really tasty and the wait wasn’t too long. The place was itself was clean, good noise level and ambient. Can’t fault it. Would go back. Would recommend the chorizo penne and the jambalaya. :-)

One of the few places in Whistler to be owned by the mountain resort- it shows with their different selection of foods and beers.
Nice friendly service from local serving staff. Great views of the slopes and the busy square. Tasty food at reasonable prices. We had a couple of tables in the sun on the balcony, which also has outdoor heating. Well worth a visit.

This place has the best patio but their poor service is still the same. We came off the mountain and the other patios were full except Blacks. . We gave it another try after a bad experience once before. The service this time was slightly better but still below par in my opinion. This time we actually got to try the food. The pizza was quite yummy while the cheesy garlic bread was below average.

We spent a lot of time at this pub as we were staying at the Sundial. The good: after ski beer and drinks in a noisy but fun atmosphere at the base of the mountain. If you like basic food, it’s fine. Service is friendly and fast. Burgers are good but here comes the “not so good”... French fries SUCK. They were under cooked and cut too fat. And the breakfast pancakes were awful! Flat and hard, not fluffy at all. The fruit was not fresh and served in a far too large square bowl. This is not a breakfast place and if they are going to serve breakfast they need to step it up. But again, apres ski applies and drinks

We went hoping for some good pizza and it did not disappoint. They also offer a gluten free pizza and it was tasty as well. (normal gluten free crust you get most places) We had some ciders to drink with our lunch and we ate upstairs inside the pub area. They have a good amount of outdoor seating both downstairs and upstairs. The friendly staff was helpful. They have live music some nights at 9pm in the upstairs pub. They had some tv's lots of windows so even sitting inside you could be in the sun.
