“Loved the food. Didn’t have to wait for a table either.”

We got lucky. Went for dinner around 830pm and didn’t have to wait for a table but they were quite busy. The music is really really loud. We have to lean in to the middle of the table to hear each other. Their motto is that they aren’t loud, they’re lively. I think it’s a bit of both. It is a very fun atmosphere but don’t expect to be able to carry on a conversation easily.

They were out of oysters and and only had tacos - tuna, Kobe beef lettuce wrap, and fish tacos. My wife loved the beef lettuce wrap and my preference was the fish taco (fried cod). The fried cod was amazing. Wish I could get that fish as fish and chips. Was a thin batter and delicious. Tacos are $7 each.

We also heard the pork belly ramen like bowl is supposed to be good so we’re planning to go back for that at some point.

The beer selection was decent but like the oysters they were out of the beer I wanted. Cocktails are $11-15 and beer is $7-10.

We showed up at 4:45 and the restaurant opens at 5, we went around the block for a drink and came back at 5:15 to find no room in this very small restaurant. There were 5 of us and we could not make a reservation. Unless you have patience and are really wanting to try this restaurant, there are lots of places that you will enjoy and we found it just that down the street at The Fish Exchange. But there are many more good spots to eat.

We had a marvelous night here ordering a couple rounds of oysters and multiple small plates. We came early and were able to walk in and get a great high top table in the rear. Music wasn't happening yet but it was still a great vibe. I'm not a huge oyster fan but this place will convert anyone. There was a happy hour special and we ordered a half dozen of the those and then ordered a 2nd round. Amazing. The sauces and fresh horseradish that accompany these morsels bring them to a new level. Try an Oyster Stout cocktail and you'll appreciate how innovative both the cocktails and plates are. Only regret is we couldn't make it back another night.

Adelaide Oyster house is a great place to go for drinks and appetizers. Great drinks, great food, great service. That being said, there is just not enough tables for the amount of business they get. It's always packed! I think they should close that location and open in a larger space. I also think it would be excellent if they served more than just drinks and apps. They should have a dinner menu as well! The larger space would accommodate this. It is a great place to come pre drink before heading to George Street, or to come for a light meal and drink with friends. Highly recommend.
