The Press Gang gets it right. The Florida branch of the family joined us on a wintery night for a wonderful evening here. 9-year-old grandson tried the elk and pronounced it wonderful. 7-year-old granddaughter tried the great charceturie and shared it with gram, who, in turn, shared her wonderful seafood pasta.
Whereas many places cheat with the sides, at The Press Gang, every main is accompanied with the perfect complement of veggies, sauces, and garnishes.
Desserts are few but perfect examples of what they are.
Service is just right: attentive but not intrusive; just the right degree of friendliness.
Not an economical meal, but a fine one.
Lots of single malts, good and reasonable wine choices, and for those so inclined, many, many oysters.
