Here one can learn about the most important things about the life , color, habitat and migration of so many species of butterflies.
Greetings 917dany,
We're thrilled to hear that you found your visit to Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory to be educational. There really is so much to see, learn, and do here at the Conservatory, and our staff love teaching our guests new things about the wonderful world of insects!
Thanks so much for your support and for writing your review, we hope to have you back again soon!
We loved our visit. Staff are EXTREMELY friendly & knowledgeable. We were asked if we would like to check our coats and we quickly said no. Some friendly advice, check your coats!!! It is very warm and humid inside. The butterflies were everywhere and oh so pretty. There are a few benches that you can just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely should be on everyone's bucket list. Worth the 1 hour trip from home.
Greetings onebzylady,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words! The Conservatory is such a fantastic reprieve from the cold weather outside - we definitely recommend dressing in layers and of course our coatroom is there for guests to hang up coats, scarves, and other winter accessories that you certainly won't need for your visit.
We're incredibly happy to hear that you chatted with our staff. A conversation with one of our Interpreters is the best way for our guests to get the most out of their visit - we're always eager to share fun facts about what we do here.
We're very grateful for your support and would love to have you back again soon. If you're looking for something different, come see us during March Break for our annual BugFeast event!
A small but wonderful little place to view, learn and just sit and enjoy a tropical like setting full of butterflies, plants and a staff that is very knowledgeable
Greetings Kim A,
Thank you for sending us your kind words, we're glad to hear you love our Conservatory as much as we do! Our staff love sharing fun facts about everything that we do, so we're happy to hear that you chatted with them!
We'd love to see some photos from your visit - if you haven't already, please share them on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and don't forget to tag us!
Thanks again for writing your review, and we hope to see you again soon!
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is a beautiful butterfly sanctuary with gorgeous indoor gardens complete with waterfall and ponds, filled with all kinds of butterflies. For a single visitor, family, couples, anyone - even babes-in-arms are enchanted. The museum section, though not of living specimens, is also fascinating. Can be enjoyed just for the exotic beauty or for a learning experience. My son took me there on Mother's Day and it was magical! Great outing in inclement weather, as it is indoors but tropical.
Greetings CarlFondaver,
Your kind words have been so nice to read - thank you so much for taking the time to send us your feedback. We are very lucky to have an amazing tropical paradise to share with our guests, especially in the middle of winter! In addition to the lush greenhouse, we do have two gallery exhibits that feature thousands of insect specimens from around the world, an observational beehive, and various travelling exhibits.
Thanks again for writing your review and sharing your beautiful photos. We hope to have you back again soon!
Love this place. Find it very relaxing and calming. Anyone with kids they are always fascinated. There are lots of butterflies around a little different every time we go . Easy to move maneuver even with a mobility challenge. Butterflies always seem to land on my husband. Also very educational. Recently started to take the Access 2 card.
Greetings Melanie B,
Thanks so much for taking the time to write your review! It sounds like you've been here a few times which is so nice to hear - we're very grateful for your support. We're certainly proud to offer a facility that is accessible, maneuverable and easily enjoyed by everyone.
If you're slightly jealous of your husband's propensity to attract butterflies, they're particularly attracted to bright colours: reds, oranges, pinks and yellows are best!
As a side note, in addition to the Access 2 Card we also accept the PAL Card which is through the Region of Waterloo!
Thanks again for writing your review, and we hope to have you back again soon - perhaps for our Flight of White holiday exhibit, on December 1 through to January 29.
We spend two hours looking at the butterflies and birds. My granddaughter is three and she was enthralled. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
We stayed and had lunch in the Chyrsalis Cafe which was fun too. They have a good kids menu.
Overall it was a great experience. I have no hesitation recommending it.
Greetings Don S,
We are so happy to hear that you and your granddaughter enjoyed your visit! There is so much to see and do, and it is wonderful that you were able to take your time, chat with our staff, and get the most out of your visit!
We're also glad to hear that you enjoyed your lunch in the Chrysalis Café! Our café has just recently undergone a complete redecoration and we've launched our new fall menu as well.
Thanks again for your support and for writing your review. We hope to have you back again soon (maybe in the winter time for a mini tropical vacation!)
