I had a lovely few days with superb weather at the end of July. I loved the peace and quiet of the Normandy countryside and the stunning views and sunsets from the veranda. Easy country roads and so many things to do nearby. Highlights were Mortain (with free parking) and the waterfalls plus delicious cheap lunch in town, the walks and restaurant at Fosse Arthour and the Museum of pottery at Ger. There were surprisingly few other tourists. Definitely a place to return to.

I have just returned from a stay in Bellefontaine Park in Daphne Cottage with a friend. It was a wonderful relaxing break. The views from the Cottage are superb and far reaching across lovely countryside. The Cottage is very comfortable and well furnished. We had lots to do and only covered a fraction of it and will be back to explore more of this beautiful part of France.
Dianne and her family who were at the clubhouse are very warm and friendly and ran various fun events at different times during the week for those wishing for entertainment.
A very good holiday all round.

We stayed here in cottage 11, which had lovely views out across the countryside and was well decorated and equipped inside. The veranda is a real highlight of this cottage as the evening sunsets were glorious and from this cottage you can't see any of the others in the park so you have a lovely feeling of space. There are about 10 cottages in a very large area of green space so it's not at all crowded. Paul and his wife and family have taken over management of the park and were very friendly and accommodating, happily providing us with logs for the fire. We hadn't been to this part of France before but really enjoyed it - there is lots to do close by (5 to 25 minutes) - waterfalls and circular walk at Mortain (closest town), medieval village with castle ruins at Domfront, as well as slightly further afield - Mont St Michel and the coastal drive. The roads are quiet to drive on and everyone we met was very friendly.
There is a clubhouse on site serving food and drinks - just be warned it can be a bit lively on a Friday evening when the locals frequent it! But otherwise it was lovely and quiet there.

My wife and I stayed in cottage 1 for a week in June. The cottage was fine with all essentials for a very relaxing break. Our time there was enjoyable enough but was ruined somewhat by the foul weather. We managed to get out a couple of times between storms and it was nice to get back in doors of cottage 1. The views when able to see were wonderful and the buzzards and the kestrel (I think) flying above were fascinating to watch. I'm sure our time there would have been even better but for the weather as you are quite a ways away from any big town but the Magic shop is only 2 minutes up the road by car where you can buy any thing from French sticks to pipe fittings, hence the name! We also had a good few hours out at St.Hillaire market which was on Wednesday and about 40 minutes away.

We so enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Bellefontaine Park. We stayed in cottage 3 it has stunning views over the country side, so many historic places to visit and excellent restaurants. The waterfalls at Mortain made a lovely walk and it is a pretty town, there is a large supermarket selling everything you need and the cakes in the patisserie are delicious. The cottage itself is very comfortable, warm and with an open fire. The people running the Club House were very friendly and accommodating. The Village is quaint with a charming church, the roads are easy to drive on and quiet.
We mostly filled our time with visiting the towns and attractions close by, Domfornt is a medieval town only 20minutes from the cottage. However we did travel further to Monte-St-Michel which was fascinating and well worth a visit. The Bayeux Tapestry is of course a must see. We found the circular cinema at Arramanches very moving and recommend it.
We look forward to visiting again in the summer to enjoy the long sandy beaches and carry on exploring this idyllic part of France. This holiday would suit all type including couples and families. My husband and I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Cottage 3 includes, one double, one twin and a bunk room. But I believe there are smaller cottages.
