I highly recommend this relaxing cruise on a quiet electric boat along the Rideau canal. Their departure sight was just below the Plaza Bridge (Rideau Street Bridge) on the Westin Hotel side. It lasted approximately 1.5 hour. The tour guide was entertaining, & informative. He took a poll of languages spoken by the passengers. Since, we all spoke English, the tour was in this language. We saw many landmarks. Some of them were the National Arts Centre, Landsdwone Park, University of Ottawa, the German Embassy, the Armenian Embassy with its hand-craved statue to commemorate the thousands of Armenians that died during the Turkish genocide, The Chateau Laurier, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the Dominion Arboretum, many bridges that the boat motored under & much more. The boat turned around after going around Dow"s Lake & returned to the departure area.
A lovely way to spend some time on the water.:)
