Not the Marriott, but read this!

Ok, so I had to make a week long trip to the east side of Ottawa. Booked this place largely on reviews. Being self employed...always stay at budget places.

Comfortable bed, nice room...no funky smells...good service by staff. Lots of amenities close by...and easy access to the highway to get around.

This will be my go to spot for east of Ottawa...don't expect the Marriott and you will be just fine.

It is certainly cheap

You certainly get what you pay for and no more. The motel is old but a lot of elbow work has gone into refurbishing it. It is clean. If you are looking for such luxuries as Kleenex, heat, or a baby playpen/crib than this place is not for you. If you just need a place to sleep then this may be what you're looking for. The water was hot and plentiful in the shower, but there is no heat source in the bathroom. The only heat source in the room is a wall(air conditioning) unit that wasn't on when we checked in. It took a long time to heat the room. The service was indifferent - not unkind or rude, but not overly friendly or helpful. The location is near shopping amenities(Walmart) but not close to anything you'd want to see and a $45 ride to the airport(which was our bad for not knowing Ottawa better). I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with children. There was an exposed electrical socket, for example. If you are travelling by yourself and you are into utilitarian then this is the place for you.

Shawna C, Im so sorry you did not have a wonderful stay. We are continually renovating our rooms on an ongoing basis and therefore had you let us know about your room having an exposed outlet or anything that didn't satisfy your needs we would always accommodate our guest and offered you a different room. Our motel is on the quiet end of Montreal rd, beside CSIS, therefore there is not much open late however, there is a moxies, east side marios, movie theater, tims and liquor store all in the same complex as the Walmart (a 7 min walk). Local bus #12 runs till 2AM DAILY. BY ASKING the front desk staff and using a private taxi company you could have saved about 15-20.00 on a fare too the airport. Next time please ask if you are not familiar as we do not assist if we are unaware of situations. When making a reservation, Please use beaconhillmotel@gmail.com to ensure the best rate possible.

Review on my stay at this Motel

I was visiting Ottawa (Feb 06 16). I was looking for something close by and decided to stay at this Motel. This Motel is centrally located and close to amenities and restaurants.
The front desk gentleman was very polite and courteous. After booking the room he gave me 2 free bottles of water.
My Room was clean and big and spacious. The room had extra hangers to hang my clothes. The room had WIFI which was very useful because I dont have data on my phone. Everything inside was working, not like other motels I have stayed. It was a comfortable stay.

I would highly recommend this Motel to my fellow visitors. Its best value for you money.

Budget friendly and helpful staff

Near downtown, budget friendly to pocket,Breakfast included. We were helped during extreme arctic weather conditions to start our car. The kitchenette with microwave and fridge helped us have our food, as we are vegetarians and prefer home food.

Clean and meets the needs

We stayed last weekend and firstly front desk was very pleasant. He gave us a bottle of water each. Since the rooms don't have an iron or hair dryer, I was able to get that from the front desk too. They have wifi too.

We just needed for a place to shower and sleep for the night and our needs were met. We also had take-out food which we warmed up in the microwave oven and ate at the table with two chairs with cutlery borrowed from front desk again.
If you're fussy, then by all means go to a hotel and pay the price. I would go back anytime.
