Having read all the TripAdvisor reviews we decided to book Paul for a one day expedition but I was a bit concerned as I have a back injury so have to be careful what I do and how strenuous any activity is. But with two active teenagers I was also anxious that they didn't miss out on fun because of me. Paul took all this into account and suggested a day at Lac Philippe kayaking for the children and me being chauffeured in another kayak by Paul! We had an amazing picnic overlooking the lake before trekking to the other side where we had our own beach to swim from. Both of my girls reckoned that it was a perfect day and we all had so much fun. The icing on the cake was the fact that Paul took loads of photos of the three of us. Being a single parent means never usually having the chance to take photos of us all together (other than embarrassing selfies) so it was fantastic to receive a folder of lovely pictures to remind us of a great day. Paul is a genuinely lovely guy who manages to be a guide whilst also ensuring that your family has time to themselves as well. I would HIGHLY recommend him and would definitely book him again should we ever be lucky enough to return to Ottawa.

I came down from Montreal for quick stop in Ottawa, and was able to make the most of my visit with Paul of Tours Expedition Ottawa. I only had one night in the city and really wanted to go canoeing. I called Paul and he suggested we go for a night ride on the Rideau river, right in the city! This was a truly unique experience!

We started at the Rideau bridge and made our way down the river under stars. There was absolutely no wind which made for beautiful mirror like reflections of the city lights on the water. We got to the end of the river and parked the canoe to go see the falls.

I got to contemplate the Rideau falls pour into the Ottawa river while snacking on the delicious picnic Paul and his wife Rachel had prepared. After relaxing by the mist of the falls, we got back into the canoe and made our way back to the Rideau bridge.

What an amazing night! I recommend this trip for anyone looking to experience Ottawa's true nature, right in the heart of the city!

First of all, a huge thanks to Paul and his family for thinking about everything, really everything to make our day an amazing experience.

My family and I plan a quick trip to Ottawa. We didn't really know the city so we contact Tours Expéditions and they plan something for us. Paul, our guide, was really helpful and passionate about the history of his city. We had a really beautiful on the lake in the morning and by noon, Paul had a delicious picnic prepare for us. We were really impressed! Thank you again, Paul!

In case you were wondering what I mean by ''everything'' you should know that Tours Expéditions provides you with raincoat, water shoes, waterproof bags (for canoeing, kayak), lunches (quick stop at a local shop to buy your sandwiches), picnic ustensiles, some snacks for your trip, etc! You don't need to worry about a single thing!

Big thanks to Paul again for the amazing trip and we will definitely consider Tours Expéditions Ottawa in a future trip to Ottawa!

Paul is the real deal: a genuine, generous gentleman. I contacted Paul because I wanted to surprise my husband for our 9 year anniversary. Paul picked us up, took us out for coffee to Bridgehead, then to a tiny hidden gem in Hull to pick up our gourmet sandwich--jalapeno cheese bread!--then drove us to an original, 400 year old growth forest, La Blanche and we HIKED...in 38 degree weather! Fortunately, we were in the shade of the forest so we didn't feel overwhelmed by the heat. Paul took professional pictures along the way. He does it all! My favourite part of the trip was when he told us to go for a walk for 5 minutes, and then we came back to a gorgeous picnic lunch complete with checkered tablecloth. We sat overlooking Lac Le Ciel and saw a beaver swimming while we lunched. If you want a unique experience, better call Paul:) Merci Paul!

We had a very good day together with Paul and with his perfect equipment. Canoeing in Ottawa is excellent to get to know the city by doing an activity. The trip was well organized in the run and during the day. Thank's Paul for the beautiful day and the nice pictures.
