We spent one night at this hotel after seeing a show at the Festival Theatre. It was a nice quiet spot just outside the busy area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the owner very pleasant. The only complaint was the shower. It was very small and the water hit the back wall and needs an elbow so you can adjust it. It was hard to shower properly because of that.

After trying other hotels in Stratford, I gave this one a try this year. It was wonderful! The facility is charming and quiet, located away from the main road and about five minutes from the theatres. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze; it was refreshing to have a hotel that does not require signatures, deposits, and other such red tape. I was handed my key (a real key!) and that was all. The rooms are named after Shakespearean characters; I had Corin. The room was clean and very comfortable. The TV and wi-fi were reliable. The shower had good height and water pressure. It was nice to leave the windows open and enjoy the fresh air, except on the first night when the smell of manure was strong (not the hotel's fault). The wall A/C unit worked well to keep the room comfortable. Parking for my room was at the side of the building, so it was a short walk to the room. This will be my regular stopping point when visiting Stratford.

For many, many years we have stayed at this friendly, family-operated motel, usually for two visits each summer when we attend the Stratford Festival. This year, we visited in July and in August, usually getting the same room which faces the pool at the back of the motel. The beds are supremely comfortable, and the amenities in the breakfast room add to the pleasure of our visits to the Festival. Since the motel is located off the beaten strip, yet close to the theatres, it is very quiet in the evening, ensuring a restful sleep. We recommend the As You Like It Motel for seniors, families, and all those in between.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool are quiet and have a greener view.

Our family spent one night at the "As You Like It" Motel and were very pleased with our experience. We had requested an early check-in and our room was ready when we arrived. The kids loved swimming in the beautiful pool. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family, allowing us plenty of space. The continental breakfast included was well stocked and served in a pleasant room attached to the office area. The staff was friendly and professional. One drawback is that the motel is located outside of the main area of town therefore making a drive necessary to get to restaurants and attractions. Overall, we felt we got a great value for our money and would recommend a stay here.

From the moment we opened the door, it felt just right! We stayed in the two bedroom suite which is perfect for a couple and two kids. The rooms are simple, no fuss, but have everything you need. Room was very clean and the beds had very good mattresses. The air conditioner ran smoothly (no banging, clanging, knocking or other distressing noises!). The bathroom provided soap/shampoo/makeup remover and towels for FOUR. It is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, off the beaten path but close enough that in a matter of minutes you are back on the main street. We didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast room, but we will be back again and hopefully not so rushed in the morning. The gardens are lovely and the pool area is very inviting. Reasonably priced considering you get two separate sleeping areas! Will most certainly be returning.
