Disclaimer: I stayed in this specific location quite a bit (over 50 nights in 2012) and I am their diamond VIP member

In my opinion this is a solid hotel that fits any travel situation (solo, family, couples, etc)

In fact I have stayed here as solo for business, with spouse only as well as with my toddler...Every-time the experience meet expectation and usually more.

While all of the staffs are friendly and helpful - Mary @ the executive lounge is one of the best I have met. She will go out of her way to assist guest who needs help during their stay...her level of service and attention to detail alone is worth the price in staying @ the executive floors. In fact, she has saved me and my family from a lot of inconvenience on multiple occasions.

While the foods are average in the lounge...the view from the executive lounge is excellent as it is located on the top floor

Oh...their breakfast buffet is excellent by the way.

Room Tip: Request 31st floor if you have access to executive lounge by HHonor status (Diamond), as you can walk up one level to the lounge instead of waiting for elevator Otherwise, stay @ Executive Floor - the lounge is a solid perks.

Apart, from a shower that leaked tons of water on the floor, this hotel was great. We had a very early start for a Mt Sinai visit, and there was a power outage in the wee hours of the morning, but even though the elevators weren't working, they did their best to accommodate us. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the Aussie bellman and the hotel superbly clean. I would definitely stay again.

Dear Trip Advisor Member ...

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I'm pleased to learn that our team was able to "Make it Right" despite a shower that was leaking, a power outage causing the elevators to malfunction .. we were able to remain helpful and friendly to our guests!

We stayed at the Hilton Toronto for 1 night during the Tiff festival. We had a great deal (200$ for one night), during that time prices go up around 400$ for this kind of hotels. So I was happy about that. The rooms were clean but looked dated to me. There was no mini bar in the room which was a bit odd for a 4 start hotel, also no slipper or bathrobes. Very simple and minimal amenities. Bathroom amenities were nothing to write a story about. The good thing was the location, downtown right next to the Shangri-La hotel. Everything downtown was pretty much at walking distance. I would only return if the price is right.

Dear Trip Advisor Member ...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience when you stayed last September during the annual TIFF festival. This is definitely a busy time of year when the city is "abuzz" with different events.

Your constructive criticisms regarding the overall decor of the room and minimal amenities has been noted. We will certainly keep your comments on file as you have given us "food for thought" about possible changes we could implement ... thank you for your honesty!

We do hope that you will visit us again whenever your travel plans include Toronto!

I spent one weekend at this hotel. I reserved it with relatively low price from hotwire.com Hotel is located at Toronto business center, which means that the nearby area can feel empty on weekends. However there is only short distance to the Yonge street. The hotel has very nice swimming pool which extends from inside to outside. It was nice to swim there while it was minus degrees outside, on the middle of skyscrapers. There is also a sauna and a gym there. I don't have any complaints about the hotel, but it is nothing special either on its class. I would not pay the full price.

Dear Trip Advisor Member ...

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I was pleased to learn that the location, bar and restaurant were able to meet your expectations.

Concerning your comment that the king room has no flat screen TV ... I can assure you that all of rooms have flat screen TV's. However, if a unit needs replacing or repairs, we may change it for an older model and perhaps this was the case during your recent visit.

The hotel is a 100% smoke free facility inside the building, however, we do still offer ashtrays outside the hotel for guests who wish to smoke, but there is no seating area. I do apologize that you found the area to be not up to standard and I will certainly share your comments with our Housekeeping team for their follow up. We thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We do appreciate your business and hope that should your travel plans include Toronto, that we will have the opportunity to be of service to you in the future!
