The service was wonderful (knowledgeable, friendly and knew their products).

The selection of cakes and croissants nice and varied, the only complaint I have is with the truffles. They are ok but not great (then I have been spoiled by working in Belgium).

The latte was rich and creamy.

Had lunch with my son: we ordered a Parisien sandwich (baguette with ham, cheese, tomato and Dijon mustard) and a Nutella crepe. The sandwich was fresh and good but I did not think the baguette tasted very authentic. The baked good very quite good but everything was quite pricy. The menu did not have a very wide selection and some items were not available the day we went.

Mostly we come hear for take out. But if you want to eat out they have a dozen tables and you can enjoy pastries and a coffee

When La Cigogne closed its doors a couple of months ago for renovations, I wondered what the new version would look like. Given limitations of space, no major changes were possible, but the available space is now used better, with space for at least two more tables. The place feels less crowded, and that is good. The coffee and pastry are as good as ever.

We had the French tortiere and the quiche, both with salad with mustard dressing. They both were delightful, being hot, crispy where needed, and full of delicious flavor. For dessert we had the huge almond croissant for which this little restaurant is famous. Again it was perfection. The restaurant itself is small and casual....a fairly typical lunch place. The pastry displays were excellent. The service was pleasant.
