Fantastic fresh fish menu which is prepared at the cooking station and served at your table
Recommendation is to book in advance as it gets busy.
Great service by all the staff and staff were particularly helpful with choosing menu options.
Dessert choice was good and the green tea and bean ice cream were a favourite!
Worth the trip

This is a fun, themed restaurant with what seemed to us to be authentic Japanese food. We may not have selected well enough hence 4* rather than 5. The place was buzzing so it's clearly doing something right!

Visiting Toronto for one night we wanted to find a Japanese restaurant to remind us of our visit to Japan this summer. Nami did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and a warm welcome given on arrival. Our server was a lovely going woman who had moved from Japan six months earlier and could not have been more helpful or attentive. The food itself was out of this world with the freshest of ingredients. In particular somw of the sushi combinations were amazing as well as the udon. We also had the shabu shabu.
Would highly recommend and woukd definitely make a return visit.

Nami

Well past it's prime.
It always had attitude but last night was outrageous.
They used to be the closest thing to authentic Japanese food in Toronto.
These days they should simply add grits, bacon and added sugar to make their overpriced tourist orientated gruel really horrible.
The tuna tataki had been in the fridge for a month. The texture was like wonderbread. In fact I think
It was pink wonderbread.
The udon soup had more salt than the entire Pacific Ocean and the menu description of added protein bore no semblance to reality.
I was longing for Shoneys.
The bill of $160 for the three of us was just stupid.
Why would anybody subject themselves to this culinary bullshiit?

Thank golemjohnny

A great experience at this lovely restaurant. It's a very tastefully decorated restaurant with amazing service....had the hot pot with thinly sliced beef and vegetables that you cook in a broth and dip in a vinegar- soya or sesame paste sauce...absolutely delicious!
