Hotel has a good location in Montreal, between Catherine Street and the Village. Just minutes from the underground station. Hotel advertises with oarking garage, but upon our arrival it was full. Receptiin clerk gave us two alternatives, but also both full. She gets mad when we say something about the poor parking facilities. After 40 minutes we found a parking garage three blocks away. Room is a littlebit outdated, but clean. Wifi worked well. Complimentary continental breakfast is better than those breakfasts usually are.

Thank you for your comments. When Montreal is busy, it is very difficult to find parking near hotel. Also we would like to inform you that we have started our renovation program, hoping to finish next summer. In the meantime, we hope to welcome you again during your next visit to Montreal.

Location is excellent. No issues with staff. (Found them nice since I don't speak french)

Hotel parking is really cramped. A challenge to park underground (extremely tight) Although they have a city parking space next to hotel.

Only the reception area is updated, rest of the building is really old. (Wait until you will have to. turn on 1980's A/C unit)

Only recommended for budget option.

Thank you for your comments. As you have certainly remarked, we are announcing a major renovation of the hotel starting this coming fall until next spring. These renovations will allow us to joint the Banner of Marriott Fairfield. In the meantime, we hope to have the occasion to welcome you during your next visit to Montreal.

Our stay was very nice. The room looked tired. The manager said this hotel was going to be rebranded as a Marriott later this year. The restaurant was in the process of being expanded to handle more patrons. It was a good deal for breakfast. An American breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, fruit, orange juice and coffee for about $10. CAN. The hotel only has 12 parking spaces underneath but there is an open air parking lot next door that charges $20. per day CAN.

The hotel has seen its better days but the location is perfect! It is only a block from a metro station and located within walking distance to the river and most old Montreal locations. The front desk person was great to check us in. They were even understanding when our flight didn't arrive until after midnight. No vending other than pop machine but there is a grocery store a few blocks away. Parking seemed to be tight. I didn't drive but the parking lot was super small.

Room Tip: location is great! Great service!

It was interesting staying in the Lord Berri neighborhood, close to the University of Quebec at Montreal, St. Catherine's St., and only a 12 minute walk to Old Montreal. Another plus to the location is that the hotel is half a block from a major subway station, plus the reasonably priced 747 express bus from the airport stops close by.

The hotel amenities were okay - 2 comfortable queen beds with nice sheets in our room, and a spacious bathroom. But the air conditioner was noisy, and the bedspreads well worn. One odd thing was the odour when first entering the room: was it stale beer? A smell not identifiable, but noticeable.

The location and pleasant service made up to a large extent for the inadequacies of the decor, and the price for a double queen room was less than many other hotels.
