Small nine-room hotel attached to the Blue Nile Ethiopian restaurant. Valet parking worked well -- like always having my car at the front door. 24 hour front desk, with enthusiastic staff. Beautiful penthouse suite (on fourth floor -- no elevator). Look forward to staying there again!

Room Tip: rooms in back (away from street) are probably quieter (we could hear snow plows at night in our front room)

The Kutuma is a small Inn that has location, location, location. It is warm and welcoming and has a very popular restaurant in house with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. We have enjoyed their hospitality twice in the last two months.Parking is taken care of for a small fee and the breakfast is wonderful. Will certainly make this our home away from home when visiting Montreal.

Had a pleasant 2 night stay at Hotel Kutuma in the deluxe suite! The hotel itself is small (9 rooms) and is easily missed driving in the dark! Valet parking is available for a fee and is probably mandatory because I didn't see any other parking nearby!

The cons:

There really isn't a lobby. The reception desk is the same booth for the restaurant.

There are no elevators.

The room felt a little unclean, and there was a food stain on the blanket/throw on the bed.

The phones didn't work in my room but I was well within reach of the front desk and didn't need them.

The pros:
The service! Everyone is lovely and so willing to help.

The room itself was very well decorated and unique. It truly felt like staying in a friend's upscale apartment (but cooler!). The furniture is well-loved and well-used, but not dingy; if you are expecting a pristine chain-hotel experience you will be disappointed.

The bathtub! FYI- THE TUB CLEANS ITSELF AFTER USE. About 20 minutes after I drained it, the air jets turned themselves on and scared the crap out of me. IT IS NOT HAUNTED. Maybe I am a newbie to jacuzzis but apparently they do that to stay clean and dry.

Overall I had a good experience and would recommend a stay here!
